Specs:
Phenom II 940 @ 3800mhz @ 1.42v (34c Idle, 51c Load) on STOCK AMD cooler, DFI DK790FXbM2RSH, Visiontek HD4850 (reference model) @ 710/1158 with Volt-mod, Patriot Extreme Performance DDR2-1066 x 4 @ 5,5,5, 15 @ 2.11v, Razer Barracuda AC-1 Sound Card, 2 x 500Gb SATAII 32mb Seagate Barracuda (internal), 2 x 320Gb SATAII 16mb Seagate Barracuda (external), Lite On 22x SATA DVDRW, Raidmax RX-730SS Power Supply, Microsoft Trackball Optical (this is old, but I cannot live without it), Microsoft Sidewinded X6 Keyboard, Hanns-G 22" widescreen, Logitech Z5500 5.1, Everglide S-500 Gaming Headphones

Mods:
Chenming ATX-601AE Aluminum Windowed Full Tower, Custom Top Window w/92mm Panaflo Exhaust 68cfm, Replaced Side window to add 2x80mm Rosewill 36cfm (Right is intake, Left is exhaust. Due to the reference design, this dropped overclocked load temps by 10c!!), Custom floor mount 92mm Panaflo Intake 68cfm, 2x80mm Front Intake Rosewill 36cfm, 2x80mm Rear Exhaust Rosewill 36cfm, OCZ XTC Memory Cooler, Thermaltake 80mm HD Cooler, Super Flower SF-609 (for both 92mm & 80mm side fans), Ultra 3.5" Controller (for front 80mm intakes and rear 80mm exhuast), 100% sleeved cables, Black & Chrome themed, Chrome SATA Cable, Silverstone Aeroslots Slot Cover (Black), 2x Ultra Bright Blue Cold Cathode w/ Custom Black Convertor, Custom Black Interior, Chrome Biohazard and Lighting Grills, Dual Grills on all fans (Intake & Exhaust Sides, AMD ATI & Biohazard Chrome Case Badges, Braided Sleeved Fan Lines-Thanks to my wife LOL (along the right side adjacent to the HD cages - See Pics)

Well, my last review got creamed here (See Inspiration) so when I went with the new Phenom II 940 and DFI Board, I spent a month working different airflow patterns, heat zones, etc. (I now have 5 windows for my box, with different fan configurations in each - This was VERY VERY fun). What you see is the best configuration I could attain at LOAD temps, not idle. Also, I purchased an Artic Cooling Freezer Xtreme with my Phenom II, after many different confgurations, the Stock AMD cooler FAR out performed the Freezer Extreme (about 7c difference at load). I assume this is because of the high amount of airflow I have running through the case. But if you own a Phenom II and are not getting under 34c idle w/o any overclock, yank out that stock cooler and try it. You may be VERY suprised. As always, votes and comments are always appreciated. Hope all of you like it, as I LOVE IT!!

Thanks for the vote. Sorry I haven't replied, been gone. I kinda cheated with the cables, using black sleeves to hide them, but I think it looks good. Thanks again.

Very very nice temps for the stock cooler. Where do you live? What are the ambient temps? That is some seriously nice temps for that high of a overclock. 7/10 from me.

I live in West Texas, but the room is AC controlled. Ambient temp in the upper portion of the case using an internal temp probe averaged over a 48 hour period of time was 27.6 deg C. I will post some screens tonight showing volts, temps & clocks.

Dang, that is a nice cool room! I'm planning to move my rig under the vent for when we start using the AC in the summer. It's gonna be so dang hot soon.

Highlights:
- Clean cable management [ I just love how you hide the cables]
- Power house brand names
- Looks tough like a server.

Lowlights:
- Overkill gadgets like fan controllers

Whats could've done:
- Painted the chassis gliterry silver and coated with clear coating [wetlook].
- Painted the internal chassis with black powder coating.
- improvements on the aestics for more sex appeal.

Thanks very much. I have looked into taking the stripped down case to a local auto shop for a spray down, but have also been thinking about a Lian Li PC-A71A to start cutting into. This is after my new MSI 4850 OC for xfire and a mugen 2. <--Ordered this morning. Woo Hoo!! (I hope the cooler fits. Gonna be close, i.e. 2mm clearance to the door.)
