Micro Star International (MSI) has just introduced its latest notebook, the 14-inch GX403 small gaming laptop. Designed to be thin, light, power efficient, and affordable, the MSI GX403 features 14.1-inch 16:10 aspect ratio screen with a 1280x800 WXGA resolution. Available only with one screen size, the MSI GX403 will feature yet unspecified gamma of Intel Core 2 Duo processors paired with Intel's PM45 Express Chipset. Built-in NVIDIA Geforce GT 130M 3D graphic card with 512 MB DDR3, 4 GB DDR2 RAM (2x2048 MB), up to a 500 GB SATA hard drive, and a choice of either a DVD or a Blu-Ray optical drive round out the specifications. The new laptop also comes with a 4-in-1 card reader, 10/100/1000 LAN card, WiFi, Bluetooth (optional), a 1.3 MP camera and a 6- or 9-cell battery. The GX403 is expected to hit retail shelves in the near future.

How is that thing even included in a sentence using the word "game" ?

...perhaps if they paint some stripes on it...

It has the latest mobile gpu. Doesnt spec out any details on the gfx card but I found some here:
http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-GT-130M.13789.0.html

Scores are subpar for average to medium setting games within the last three years. :(

Gaming huh?

To be fair, given that it is essentially a desktop 8600GT & is coupled with a relatively low resolution it should be able to handle most games at medium details settings with decent framerates. I know for example many people have been able to play fallout 3 on a Dell XPS1530 (which has the slower clocked 8600mGT) without too many issues.

The main question of course is why on earth has the 8600mGT has ANOTHER name change.

8600mGT - 8700mGT - 9500mGT(S) - 9600mGT - 9650mGT - 9700mGT - GT130m

All are variants of the G96 core (32 stream processors) with the only real difference being the clock speeds (which are minor increments at best) and fab process.

Just to confuse things even further the 9650mGS is nothing like the 9650mGT and the 9700mGTS is actually a G94 based cut down (48 stream processors) version of the desktop 9600GT.

Confused yet......:wtf:
