DFI LANParty, one the most famous mainboard brands worldwide, will hold the first session of global online overclocking competition during April to May of 2009. In addition to a handsome sum of money as prize and awards to the top three, the top ten candidates will also be honored as "LANParty certified overclocker".

"LANParty certified overclocker" enjoys the priority to obtain information on the new products, directly talk with R&D engineers and provide suggestions for the products under development. For more information, please visit this page. For registration or inquiries mail to wr@dfi.com.tw.

Yes, but that's 6,7GHz on just 2 cores. I think 6,5GHz on all four cores is more impressive.

Ive never understood why people use commas in place of decimals when talking about CPU speed. Not only does it not make sense to me but it annoys the hell out of me.

One things for sure about DFi, they have lost the meaning of LAN.
I remember a time when LAN meant something, then companies such as DFi ruin the concept by adapting it into their hardware and PRETENDING to have LAN domination when in reality they are shit to clay.

Dont get me wrong, i respect anyone and anything that has respect for others and their ways. Which means i once upon a time had respect for DFi.

Goodluck with the ONLINE competition.

Here's a suggestion; Stop' bullshitting to yourselves, and then to us. How about using the LANParty boards for LAN events where people cant hack/cheat or whatever the Fu&*.

I vote GIMMICK. I vote, lost me as a future customer.

You read to much into it. Kinda sad that something such as this makes you not buy a good quality motherboard.

Ive never understood why people use commas in place of decimals when talking about CPU speed. Not only does it not make sense to me but it annoys the hell out of me.

Europeans use a comma instead of a dot as the decimal dot and as I live in the Netherlands, I've been taught to do so as well. We also use a dot instead of a comma to seperate the thousands in larger numbers.

Hate to use Yahoo Answers, but this explains a bit: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20081114210411AAAajd5
