First Single-PCB GeForce GTX 295 Accelerator Spotted

Hey, not bad -- wonder if Nvidia has any designs on making a single-PCB 9800GX2 with 55nm chips and rebadging it. Could probably do it pretty cheap and it would run pretty cool.

that card looks massively long. I don't see how it could fit into a mid-tower case.

All the next-gen junk is JUST around the corner....

Why bother advancing the old camp? - These current GPU's are a profit nightmare...

Although that's probably the whole point - reduce assembly cost by using 1 board, and try and flog GPUX2 to try and make some recovery on old stock...

It's 27cm / 10.63 inches long.
I mean the card is that long. :)

What you want is two Thors hammers on this card with some form of support beam to the case floor. Now that would be a beast, coupled with a few enzotech RAM sinks scattered on the pcb . . .

It would be sooo heavy!!
the card would snap:(

Two LN2 evaporators and we're good to go

why?
where did you come up with that?

its a hoax!

how so? there is no current card that looks like that so unless someone is really really good at making things that don't exist it looks pretty realistic

Maybe they have inside knowledge that ATI is about to release some sort of freaky 4890x2 with 40nm 800-shader GPU's clocked at 1GHz...

Or something like that. But that would be just crazy.

Looks very nice ! The fan is not radial, so less noise.

You can also put in a Accellero Extreme cooler ( i bet they start already to produce it ) and get super cool temps without an expensive water cool loop. Finally no high temps problems with this GTX 295 long life to him !

All I have to say is about time. Should provide a nice performance increase and better OE cooling. Time to upgrade my x2 and go to the green side for a little while.

Now this is what I call up-to-date. The sandwich thing is not looking so good in-term of design.

Better late than never I suppose? Oh and the 4850X2 is longer than the 4870X2, might need a full tower for this 295 if it's as long/longer than a 4850X2!

Its almost 11" the longest card, I have seen.

From the looks of it, the 295 is about the same length as the HD4870x2 actually, so about 11". One of the down sides of the single PCB design is extremely long cards.

Hmmm... If this does fit CPU Coolers... you could get some awesome clocks/temps...

Hopefully it'll be alot cheaper.

My bad I got mixed up and I knew that :banghead: The 4870 is 9inch and the GTX's are 11inch. So its not bigger than a 4870x2 or a gtx285/280/260.

Is it time to sell my GTX 295 already? I just got in last month. Damn technology.

going by the length of the pci-e slot this card is 11 inches
