Specs:

150 Gb SATA 150 Raptor X Hard Drive,
300 Gb SATA 150 Seagate Barricuda Hard Drive,
Asus Extreme X1900XT 512MB,
AMD Athlon 60 FX-62,
2Gb (2X1Gb) Corsair TwinX DDR,
ASUS A8R32-MVP Deluxe

Mods:
Just a basic gaming system, with extra air flow.
One thing I do like is how 2 hard drives can be mounted in the side rather than the front. This gives me the space I need to fit 2 120mm fans at the front for good air flow. The hard drives also have 3 80mm fans (keeping the hard drives cool is equally as important as keeping the CPU cool).

The maximum temperature the CPU has reached is 40 Degrees Celcius, and this while playing Quake 4...which I had been playin for 3 hours.

I might have to swap the DVD drives and top front 120mm fan, so that the gfx card gets more air blown towards it.

My current preference is AMD ATI ASUS Corsair Raptor, before it was Intel ATI ASUS Corsair Raptor.

I only buy computer parts from manufactures that I know and trust. At the time of purchase, I buy the best that is out there.

But as you can c, with this computer I didn't stick to Intel, Pentium D was just not doing it for me, so I switched to AMD 64 FX 2.

This is my current gaming PC, built in March. I still have to do the whole cable tie thing, plus I need to finish it off with a X1900 CF edition gfx card, just in time for Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars and Enemy Territory: Quake Wars.

I am looking to upgrade again within 4 months, I would do it immediatly but I can't get the M2R32-MVP Deluxe anywhere in the UK, and then the Core Duo was released, making me await a review and a comparison between Core Duo and AM2FX.

I agree with you 100%.

I am still currently trying to find a game that glitches on this computer. With every game I get, I wack the graphic settings up to the maximum, with the maximum resolution being 1280 X 1024, and the game plays so smooth, plus the graphics details and speed is excellent, I am considering whether to waste my money on a Crossfire card, when the existing card has had no issues at all.

ATI have released a new gfx card...the X1950...but it is still 512...they need to up that to 1gig for me to consider upgrading to it.

But it looks like Intel are on the uprise again with the Core 2 Extreme. Read here for the full article.
