Better frames/second at higher resolutions for any larger larger memory. Basically if you game at 1900x1200 you might want a 1GB+ card to handle the larger resolutions.

EDIT: Any chance Sparkle would make a GTX275 Calibre edition?

Yes but it is a Sparkle card so don't expect it to OC much, they buy the lower binned GPUs to keep cost down.

really what s the point? sure double the ram might help in a SLI config (as you only have access to the first cards ram) or a niche market but besides that there is no real point, especially with windows duplicating video ram into system ram most of the time it will only cripple not help the bulk of systems out there

(see here for what im on about http://forums.techpowerup.com/showthread.php?t=91260)

Sparkle have been doing white cards on and off for a while now, probably whenever they can get white plastic shrouds cheaper than stock shrouds from nVidia.

is there a point in these cards with double memory?
When the budget oriented brands do double memory they often use high latency or lower speed modules. On some 9600GT 1GB cards DDR2 would be used making the cards perform worse than 512MB DDR3 variants. Behaviour like this has led to the wide spread belief that memory doubling on low-mid range cards is worthless. It doesn't help when review sites don't use high enough resolutions to allow frame buffer limitation to kick in either then finish on that conclusion.
