Innovatek Intros Universal GPU Water-Block

Innovatek introduced a new GPU water-block it chooses to call "Universal", while is targeted at upper mid-range graphics cards. Its fittings are along the plane of the block, which covers only the GPU. The block measures 60 x 75 x 25 mm (L x W x H), and weighs around 260 g. It uses a thick copper base. With a mount hole spacing of 53.2 mm, the block supports most popular GPUs in the category it's intended for use on, including GeForce GTS 250 (so it should support all G92 based single-GPU cards), Radeon HD 4000 series (including HD 4870, HD 4850, and below), and Radeon HD 3000 series. It comes with G1/4" fittings. It is priced at around 40 EUR.

So, would these work on my 8800GS's? when i upgrade my computer, i was comsidering going back to water cooling.

The 8800GS should be like any other G92 based card, so probably yes.

Interesting timing and feature set... You would think that it would also support the gtx200 series, but I guess they decided that this will be for mid-range/low end nvidia cards and ATI cards.

I would like it if more manufacturers addressed the VRM and RAM cooling issues of their watercooling blocks/ setups. Sure, it fits the HD 4870, but then I have to use 3rd party ramsinks that may or may not interfere with the WB - and if Zalman had not come out with the VRM plate, I would have to Macgyver something there too.

I'm hearing you on that, I had 2 water cooled 4870's in CF and i needed to use the whole metal plate that covers the card from the stock cooler, it had just enough space to mount a block in the GPU hole :laugh:

At least Zalman have the right idea :rolleyes:

but, t'ain't nothing wrong with Macgyver'ing it up :rockout:

Meh, looks like crap to me. I'm sure that it won't touch a MCW60/ GFX 2/ Maze 5 in performance.
