In its continuing quest to bring gaming enthusiasts the ultimate in performance, XFX now adds "power" to its lineup with the introduction of the XFX 850W Black Edition Power Supply Unit (PSU). Designed specifically for the high performance gamer, the 850W Black Edition PSU supports multiple high-end graphics cards cards (NVIDIA SLI-Ready and ATI CrossfireX-Ready). Within the sleek black case are an array of industry-leading unparalleled features and performance enhancements that will appeal to gaming enthusiasts.

"The new XFX 850W PSU is a logical progression to the XFX line of graphics cards and motherboards," explains Eddie Memon, vice president, marketing, XFX. "XFX is known worldwide for its dedication to the gaming community, and adding a superior power supply that targets the unique needs of gamers enables us to further reinforce that relationship."

"Most important," Memon adds. "XFX is known for its style as well as its performance. Our engineers were tasked with creating a best-in-breed PSU that also exudes a whole new level of cool. The sleek case and XFX green glow are quintessential XFX."

Rated for a combined, continuous output power of up to 850 watts at 50 degrees Celsius, the XFX 850W BE PSU outperforms lesser quality PSUs. Crossbreed engineering featuring both fixed and modular cables provide users with both exceptional performance and superior flexibility.

Rated with an 80-Plus Silver Certification, this highly efficient PSU is not only eco-friendly, it ensures quiet, cool operation. A quiet, 135mm ball bearing fan also provides superior cooling. DC-to-DC Voltage Regulator modules for +3.3V and +5V ensure low A/C ripple and increased stability that helps prevent potential freeze or reboot scenarios.

Single, high-power +12V rail delivers power on demand and eliminates problems associated with multiple +12V power distribution. High quality Japanese capacitors ensure high reliability and long life, and solid polymer caps provide enhanced reliability and stability.

Additional features include support for the latest ATX12V and EPS12V standards, an active PFC with Universal A/C input and an Energy Star 4.0 rating and RoHS compliance.

"XFX has always delivered the ultimate in gaming performance," Memon concludes. "With the XFX 850W Black Edition PSU, we deliver the ultimate in gaming power in the ultimate PSU package."
