i'm on E5200 R0 stepping and it doesn't have Virtualization, i think the E5300 is enabled, though.

Multicore solution is one thing they are pushing through to circumvent the 16nm fab process limit they (intel) have been doom saying.. other chip manufacturers are also getting on the bandwagon (shader procs, cell processors, nVidia's upcomming graphic processing clusters, etc).. basically, they are still on track of consistently feeding us consumers this mindset of the more the better.seems with end of 2010 we going only talk about quad and six core, core 2 duo going to die
