To view this case mod, go here.
Specs:
Windows 7 64bit with Ubuntu and Slackware running at the same time. It's called virtualbox. Best part is its free.!
Mods:
2 cases modded together with 7 120mm fans. Added wheels to the bottom of the case. Plexi blue tint glass the the sides.
Specs:
Forget Dual booting...this system runs Windows 7 and Ubuntu at the same time using Virtual Box!
Corsair 850w power supply
i7 920 Intel CPU
2 GTX260 video cards in SLI air cooled
RAID 10 with 4 x 1T WDC WD1001FALS drives Read write times are about 148-200Mbps which is on par with many SSD at the moment.
water cooled @ 4025mhz Home brew water cooling
Asus P6T v1.0 mother board
12 gigs Gskill RAM
4" LCD in front of case where diskett drives would go
Custom built water cooling w/ 2 systems. One in use for CPU.
Computer case is two old Lian Li pc71 aluminum cases. The bottom where the water cooling is housed is a lian li pc71 cut down by 60% and still uses the same fromt bezel. There is a separate power supply(AT 250w) in the botom for the water pump and fans.
Watching the youtube video will show greater detail on how the case is constructed. A total of 7 120mm fans are installed. 3 on the very bottom. 2 in the middle between the cases. 2 more up top and all are controlled off a Nexus fan controller seen on the front of the case.
Final note:
There is no water reservoir in my system. I used a T valve and funnel and fill the system while running. Pain in da arse to do but it is one less part taking up space. The neon in the water is from a UV paint kit. I use a little white water soluable in the system to make the lines glow.
