Retailers have started shipping AMD's Phenom II X6 series of desktop six-core processors. The Phenom II X6 is AMD's first consumer six-core processor for desktops, which intends to compete with Intel at aggressive price-points. AMD is starting the series with two models, the Phenom II X6 1055T and Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition. German retailer VV Computer priced the 1055T under 200€ at 198.7€, while the 1090T Black Edition goes for a little over 300 €, at 309.9€.

The Phenom II X6 1055T runs at 2.80 GHz, with Turbo Core speed of 3.30 GHz, while the Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition runs at 3.20 GHz with 3.60 GHz of Turbo Core speed, and an unlocked bus multiplier to help overclocking. Both chips have 9 MB of total cache, and TDP of 125W.

Still no proper reviews ? WTF

they havent properly released yet (in stores, but its damn close) - so no one can really review them just yet. Expect a slew within the next 24 hours.

my epeen is gonna grow 3-4 inches in the next 4-5 days. getting the new ROG corshair board some new ddr3 and the 1090

our sample is still on its way .. will be until monday next week for the review

please test out the turbo mode, and if it still works while OC'd :D

Wonder if this will make reviews more difficult. Turbo vs turbo mode comparisons as well as the standard locked in at stock speed tests.

not really. like intel turbo, you test and see how it works automatically.

game test? who cares if turbo was on or off, only how it performs on average.

Waits for Wizz and the x6 review:toast:

So according to Futuremark a X6 clocked over 4ghz scores half as much as a 980X at 3.5ghz?

I noticed CPUZ is only reading the X6 at 6mb on the L3 cache it should be 9mb right?

i think its 9mb TOTAL cache :pimp:
i don't personally own this cpu so i can't really post other benchmarks but i think there's a bug in the 3dmarks 06 results :banghead:

EUR 280 for the Blake Edition at ARLT Computer, also Germany
