Lian Li Industrial Co. Ltd. launches the PC-B25S mid tower chassis. The hair-line brushed all-aluminum, black chassis is based on the original PC-B25 "Blue Ring" classic; however, Lian Li's engineers have taken silence to a whole new level with this model. The PC-B25S also boasts the tool-less installation features and customization capabilities that consumers are coming to expect from Lian Li's award-winning chassis.

The top, front, and side panels are all foam-padded to keep noise from escaping. The chassis' two 140mm top-side exhaust fans are covered by a sloping, foam-padded cover which directs the heated, inner air out the back. The 120mm back-side exhaust fan also has an angle-adjustable, foam-padded cover. All five fans have anti-vibration mountings.

The PC-B25S is loaded with rubber pads to cut vibrations and noise. The tool-less, anti-vibration rubber ring suspension HDD rack can hold six 3.5" HDDs. Externally, the PC-B25S's 5.25" x 3 Optical Device Drive (ODD) bays, with the capability of a 3.5" x 1 bay (use a 5.25" converter), mount without the use of tools and are held in place by a rubber-padded arm to prevent vibration. The chassis has eight PCI mounting brackets, which enable CrossFireX and three-way SLI graphics card setups, and are equipped with a rubber pad to reduce noise and vibrations. The PCI slots are used to help increase airflow with special ve nted brackets to bring in cool air. The PSU compartment, located directly above a filtered vent at the bottom of the chassis, is lined with rubber pads, as is its tool-less mounting clip.

General Features
Dimensioned at 210x545x490 mm (W.H.D.), the PC-B25S allows users to use Micro-ATX or ATX motherboards. For the conscientious user, the Lian Li designers have included a tool-less cable clamp within the chassis as well as extra holes in the plates for cable routing. Both the front and top panels come off without tools, making it easy to remove the washable air-filters in front of the fans. The top panel is also home to the multimedia I/O ports consisting of two USB 3.0, one e-SATA and HD Audio. Additionally, a fan control switch is located on the top panel. The PC-B25S is available in black color.

Traditional Durability
Classic, stylish, functional designs are Lian Li's goal. The essence of Lian Li products is the craftsmanship of the engineering. Intrinsic to the workmanship and quality of Lian Li's products is their customization capabilities, which include a whole host of optional extras that can be added to an already feature rich product.

Highlights for the PC-B25S:
  • Foam-padded top, front and side panels
  • USB 3.0 ready
  • Tool-less installation
  • 8 x PCI expansion slots for convenient three-way SLI or CrossFireX configurations
  • Supports ATX and Micro-ATX motherboards
  • 2 in-take plus 3 exhaust fans
  • Anti-vibration HDD cage, PSU mount, fan mounts, & ODD mounts
  • Availability: Arriving at local distributors end of May
  • MSRP : US$289+local VAT; only black color is available

Can't see any differences between this and my own case, the PC-B25F.

@Phxprovost, yes, I can clearly see the influence of the Antec 900, but, unlike you, I actually really like the case.

Edit: it appears that the styling of the top fan cover (the removable top of the case) has changed slightly, other than that I think it's identical to the existing PC-B25F model.

Hmm doesn't sound like this case has hot-swap 2.5" SSD bays... ?

I need a new case that has 2 x USB 3.0 (on the front!) and at least two 2.5" SSD bays. And I don't mean crappy mounting converter brackets because I've never found one that worked with any case or SSD!

It needs to be quiet, cool, supporting both air and water cooling, with a minimal, streamlined style . It should have plenty of space inside for graphics cards and cables - but not be too massive.

Any ideas?

Difference between this and PCB25F is the USB 3.0 front-panel ports.

The only thing i dont like about this and some other lian li cases is that circle on the front.

Always loved the construction and efficient design inside, im one for simple design too nice straight cut lines but ones that wont slice your hand ive seen some jagged cases.

This "mid" tower chassis is bigger than some "full tower" chassis I've seen.

I have a Noctua D14 and a Powercolor PCS+ 5870 in the PC-B25F (exactly the same interior layout) with room to spare.

blame it on the "economy crisis" :D ,but i must say they just glued some of their former designs with this case all in one and made a Frankenstein. I see interior of LanCool K58/K62 design, and the rest like the blue glowing ring is from some smaller case or another A06F or smth .

:wtf:

Aesthetics are not open to debate as opinions are subjective; however, to state that the case is not well designed is a fallacy. You can mount a full system in one of these in around half an hour without using a single tool and the lay out is both spacious and user friendly. I can accept that you dislike the look of the case, I can accept the charge that it is too expensive and I can accept that the fans could be a bit quieter (assuming that it uses the same fans as the B25F), although again noise levels are subjective, but I would never be willing to accept that the case is poorly designed.

where did i mention that i don't like the price ,or the cooling fans are too loud ;) ? i simply don't like the exterior design, interior is like i said straight from LanCool K58/K62 witch are both good cases on the inside and the outside ;) but this one ... i don't like it, period. :D

You said that it wasn't "good designed", I assumed that by design you were referring to the construction and lay out rather than the appearance: my misunderstanding. You never mentioned price or fan noise, they are simply aspects that I suggested as, unlike lay out, being open to criticism. I would buy my own case again, but I have no shares in Lian Li, so feel free to dislike this case. ;)

Yes... it seems as though case manufacturers are unable to make proper mid-towers with enough space for video cards. Some people don't want giant behemoths. Seriously, how hard is it to make a case with enough internal space for an HD5970 but still shorter than 500mm ?

Cases are to be deep, not tall.

This is exactly why I have been searching for the right case for a looooong time. Finally got the Lian Li PC-A05, from the days where they made good cases :)

3way SLI

Nice to see a mid tower case that allows the use of 3-way SLI + Phys X. I just ordered the 10ft tall corsair 800d, i would have grabbed this one had i known. I personally think it looks awesome, Lian li cases have always been a notch above the most others when it comes to craftsmanship. Anyone who says otherwise, hasn't owned one. Good looks on the other hand, are a matter of opinion. My opinion is, it looks great. I do believe though that todays non lian li cases are putting up better competition than yesterdays cases... The gap is closing.

Doesn't this case flip your psu to the ugly side facing out? Gonna suck for the side window variants.

Edit* Nvm I'm spatially challenged.
