Gigabyte Intros Power Rock Series Value PSUs

Gigabyte unveiled a series of value power supply units under the Power Rock brand, which it showed off at this year's Computex event. These are available in 300W, 350W, 400W, and 500W variants. Being ATX +12V v2.2 compliant, these have two +12V rails and are actively cooled. The units measure 150 x 140 x 86 mm. Of these, only the 400W and 500W variants feature active PFC and 80 Plus certification. Gigabyte did not give out a pricing scheme though one can expect them to be very cheap.

would like to see some reviews of them. W1zz could you try and get one for a review?
I think i can see the maybe Antec eath watts 380+w and Corsair 400-450w would be a better choice for a budget PSU

Well they are 80+ certified so, they are worth considering... Though corsair still might be a better choice. But im only assuming

I'm not going to judge them one way or another that is why i say "maybe" a better choice. They could be worth considering but if there in the same price range i think more people will go with corsair just because there a well known trusted name in PSU's

Yeah I would go with corsair at this point too, they do make solid psu's, annoyingly.

Why look at anything else when Corsair rocks in pretty much all segments? If i'd want a cheap PSU, i'd pick LC Power. Really cheap and decent PSU's.

Well their Odin series of PSUs is pretty good so these should be ok. Only problem I have is their lower watt units aren't even 80 plus certified nor are they even active PFC. I guess they feel even low watts like that arent needed. The lower ones though look like they would be good for an HTPC perhaps.
