Thermaltake, leading DIY chassis brand, is launching the world's first SideClick EasySwap HDD docking mid-tower with integrated USB 3.0 SuperSpeed connector particularly designed for AMD Leo gaming PCs, the ARMOR A60 AMD Leo Edition. Thermaltake lined up with AMD to design a computer chassis particularly catering to the latest AMD Leo gaming platform. It shows the typical bullet-proof armory contours of this series while the front panel has gotten an even fiercer AMD-red color ornamentation, with the left side panel sporting an AMD Leo tattoo.

The otherwise entirely black design with metal mesh elements lend the ARMOR series an extremely stylish and powerful appearance that attracts gamers and enthusiasts alike. The top and front red LED-fans enhance the overall combat ambience, resembling the typical MMORPG ambience but also providing ideal cooling characteristics for the AMD Leo platform. A special lock mechanism for your mouse and keyboard ensures that you'll always stay in arms.

The AMD Leo platform is specifically targeting gaming enthusiasts who are planning to use high end systems with AMD 45 nm process multi-core CPUs, AMD 8 series chipsets and DX 11 graphics cards. At present a vast amount of gamers are already eagerly assembling this high-end gaming platform.

With Thermaltake's exclusive SideClick EassySwap design in the left side panel of the ARMOR A60 AMD Leo, it's now easier than ever to access removable hot-swap capable 3.5" hard drives. You simply place your HDD (SATA, SATA 2, SATA 3) in the drive tray, slide it into the SlideClick slot till a tiny "click" let's you feel that the drive is connected. Without any further installation your drive will automatically be detected by your Windows operating system.

Optimized multimedia connectivity is provided for by one USB 3.0 and one USB 2.0 port in the front panel of the case. An additional eSATA connector on the top makes it most convenient to connect your mobile storage device, while the HD microphone and headset connectors in the front offer you quick and short access.

As characteristic for Thermaltake chassis, special attention had been paid to optimized ventilation and airflow. Therefore one 20 cm red exhaust LED-fan on top and one 12 cm intake red LED-fan in the front have already been pre-installed and increase the combat spirit with light-effects. One more 12 cm exhaust turbo fan on the backside top further increases air circulation. For power-users there are still four more options to install additional fans. A red geometric window on the left side panel let your graphics card shine and allows for a look at your hardware.

The feet elevate the ARMOR A60 high enough as to allow for improved ventilation of the bottom based ATX PSII power supply. To avoid outside dust to find its way into your power supply a removable dust filter is positioned underneath, providing users with an easy way to keep it clean.

The ARMOR A60 AMD Edition will be available on 4 October 2010 in an exclusive pre-launch at NewEgg.

It's like the A-team van crashed into Knight Rider and they got cubed in a scrap car compactor.

Ugly. In fact, it's like my bedroom furniture from when i was 13 (1987).

So glad i have old version of the armor case as there is no chance i'd buy that.

They should remake 2 of the olds design one with the psu at the top and one with the psu at the bottom with improved cable management.

I'm not really liking this one, but I must say, I've never seen as much hate against non-standard/default/plain chassis as I do here on TPU.
If the people from here were to judge which cars rolled out, we'd probably be driving square metal boxes with wheels and windows.
Guys, the manufacturers are trying to do/find something different that works, try to cut them some slack, would you? And give others the chance to say they like it without fear of possibly being lynched by a pitch-fork-carrying mob of PC case conservatives. :p

I wasn't meaning you specifically, I was talking about (just about) all the chassis announcements here on TPU. You may not be a conservative, but many, many here seem to be and I'm sure many others are nervous to look like n00bs by being the odd one out and saying they like it. LOL
Anyway, don't take me too seriously, I didn't mean it that way; I was laughing about it as I wrote and it was to have others join in on my laughter about the trend. ;)

What are you talking about, I feel it's the opposite almost.

BTW, too much red imo. I'm not a fan of the style of those cases, but if they would've made the red deeper and darker it would've looked better.

No, these are the PC case equivalent of giant wing and vinyl graphics laden cars with fart cans. Ugly, gaudy and obnoxious.

Most of us like clean and elegant, like a Chip Foose designed car. Big difference from just boxy. Example below.

I love the Level 10 case as well. Too pricey tho. If it were around $200, I would have it. Not plain, but simply clean and elegant.

I would like the Lanboy Air more in all black. Or even white highlights. Not really liking the choices of yellow and blue on it. Otherwise, it has the potential.

The actually case design looks nice imo(i also like the color):). I just don't want the AMD branding on there, it ruins it.

Love the color scheme, layout, and what not, but damn I recently was building in my old Antec 900 giving my girlfriend (read friend who is a girl lol) a computer for free. I realized that as much as the air cooling was nice, the damn thing had no where to put cables and makes it hideous. This thing puts me in that mind. Need cable management holes and for God's sake lets have a cpu cutout slot worthy of it, like the Corsair Obsidian Series.

I'm doing the reverse for my friend. Going amd/ati in an nvidia case cause he likes green lol.

As for the case, I like it too. Darth Maul style coloration. The lack of cable management holes just means I would get to fire up the dremel again :)

I only saw one person that disliked it based on being Thermaltake. I dislike it because it is ugly.
