abit is once more expanding their product portfolio. Responding to the ever growing demand for a digital home environment in which various devices are wirelessly interconnected and can communicate with one another, abit now introduces a unique Wi-Fi solution. The abit AirPace Wi-Fi card is the very first IEEE 802.11b/g WLAN device for universal use with PCI-E interfaces. Unlike proprietary solutions the abit AirPace Wi-Fi is highly flexible as it is compatible with ANY PCI-E socket.

This makes installation as well as migration true child's play. In addition to the common client mode, software Access Point capability is also supported. abit - pioneer in PCI-E wireless technology. By using the PCI-E X1 interface abit is once more extending their "Future Proof" concept. Since the PCI interface is bound to disappear in the very foreseeable future, the PCI-E bus will become the prevailing connection standard for add-on cards. So with abit's solution you will also stay well-connected in the future.

The added software Access Point function increases the AirPace Wi-Fi's usage models dramatically. It allows other networked PCs and laptops to not only use storage and data on your computer but also take advantage of its connected peripherals such as printers or Internet access, to mention but a few options.

In combination with abit's AirPace Music, for example, you can easily transform your PC into a wireless infotainment center, wirelessly streaming your locally stored audio files to virtually any active speakers in your home.
