Disney Announces High-Tech Daft Punk-Inspired TRON: LEGACY Headset by Monster

Disney Consumer Products (DCP) today announced its collaboration with electronics powerhouse, Monster Cable, and specialty toy maker, Medicom Toy, for new Daft Punk-inspired TRON: LEGACY electronics and toys. The Grammy Award-winning musical duo Daft Punk have composed the much-anticipated soundtrack - released Tuesday, December 7 from Walt Disney Records - for Walt Disney Picture's TRON: LEGACY, opening nationwide December 17, 2010 in Disney Digital 3D.

The stylish and specially lighted Daft Punk Edition TRON headphones by Monster, a leader in manufacturing and design of high-performance headphones and A/V accessories, are designed as the ultimate headphones for gaming, music and home cinema and will be released beginning today at major electronics retailers with a special surround-sound mix of the TRON: LEGACY original motion picture soundtrack. On a serious note, I've heard good things about Monster's Dr. Dre headphones, so if these are anything like them, they'll sound decent. I refuse to believe there aren't better headphones for $350 though.

There are much better headphones for $350. Ever heard those Dr. Dre Beats headphones? Have you? Compared to my 595's they sound terrible, and 595's are half the price.

A little hostile there aren't you? And no, I'm no audiophile. I can get by my day with a set of $10 headphones, and I'm quite proud of that.

I'm not sure pride is an appropriate feeling for a physical or mental limitation. Comfortable, fine with, etc would make more sense. You feel pride for things you accomplish.... unless you practiced bad audio acuity? Which would just be odd.

SQ of monster is good, their price / performance ratio is trash though. For the same price you can get better cans.
