Mods:
Scythe Mugen 2 with Scythe Gentle Typhoon in push, Xigmatek 120mm 1800rpm in pull. Installed VF-1000 & MSI 4890 coolers on 4850s. Replaced all fans with Xigmatek 120mm 1800rpm fans (7 Total). Added a 120mm fan in the 5.25" bays. Scythe Kaze Master fan controller. Modded top LED switch to power CCFLs. Added slotted PCI slot covers. Cable Management

I spent a lot of time on the cable management. There are 4 internal HDD, 7 fans, and a fan controller. I think it was worth it. What do you think?

I'd call that "assembling", not modding. Modding a case implements that you "modify" the components in some way and are not just using them like the manufacturer intended.

Some people probably have different definitions of modding. Your's is not the only only one.

It's probably best to support those willing to present their cases and not criticize so you can be right.

I guess your definition of modding differs from others. I have done plenty of modding on other cases (windows, fans, paint, etc.), but this was more an exercise in cable management, which required hours of routing, and rerouting, etc. and which IMO looked pretty damn amazing when it was completed.

So please, if you just came to insult, don't bother. But considering that mine is the same rating as your Big Red Box (7.2), a lot of people considered mine to be equal to yours. :toast:

I'm not saying that the way i define modding is the only correct one. I do appreciate the way you built your PC, and i know how tedious CM in a 690II can be.
"Modding" has become too mainstream IMO, with many manufacturers selling LED fans and calling them a modding accessory. Or first-time PC builders installing a cold cathode light and trying to show off their awesomely "modded" PC. With everything ready to buy, there's little incentive to build, modify or improve something when you can just throw out some money and buy it pre-made. Kinda like fast-food i guess ;-)
For me, modding is still about making a PC unique, about altering a component and therefore improving it somehow. About spending time to create something that's yours.
And i'm not saying that i'm any better than anyone else. I went from the Big Red Box with a car radiator, aquarium pump and some hacked water blocks to a CM690II with pre-made EK radiators, an Innovatek pump and aqua computer parts. It's a lot nicer than the Box, more compact and performs better. And while i spent a couple of days getting everything to where it is now, i didn't do any real modding on it.
