V3 Gaming PC, manufacturer of high-end computer systems, has announced the integration of Intel's 2nd Generation Core Processor Family to their product line with the Convoy and Convoy 3DS Desktop Gaming Computers. Intel's latest processors, previously code-named "Sandy Bridge", offer several features that provide tangible performance benefits of their predecessors.

Among the benefits of the new processors is a more aggressive Turbo Boost 2.0, which will automatically overclock some of the processor's cores when the others are not in use. For those who desire a more traditional overclock, the Intel has launched K-series parts that can be overclocked through an unlocked multiplier to very impressive speeds. "We have managed overclocks exceeding 5.0GHz in our testing of the Intel Core i7-2600K processor," remarked Chuck Morris, System Engineer at V3 Gaming PC, "we've got some pretty incredible performance out of it too."

The new processors necessitate an entirely new selection of motherboards based on the Intel P67 Express chipset. The Intel P67 chipset provides native SATA 6.0Gbps support, which permits much higher performance from Solid State Drives in RAID configurations. V3 Gaming PC has spent many weeks vetting products from several major motherboard manufacturers to make sure that they fit seamlessly into the V3 line. "Motherboard manufacturers have come through in a big way with the P67 chipset - there is a wealth of very well-designed, high-performance motherboards available for us to choose from." Said Thomas Gribble, Product Manager at V3 Gaming PC.

The V3 Gaming PC Convoy and Convoy 3DS desktop models feature an assortment of Intel 2nd Generation Core processors and Intel P67-based motherboards from which customers can select based on their budget and desired performance. "Intel's new Sandy Bridge processors, particularly the K series parts, are a great choice for anyone looking for a very fast, budget-friendly gaming PC.", said Steven Chien, CEO of V3 Gaming PC.

V3 Gaming PC's new Convoy Dark Fleet chassis provides ample cooling and expansion capability for the configurable components. Three 120mm white-LED fans and a single top-mounted 140mm fan circulate air throughout the case, and in conjunction with the V3-standard liquid cooling setup make for a very thermally efficient design. The Intel P67-based motherboards used in the Convoy and Convoy 3DS systems all support USB 3.0 technology, and the machine can be configured with hot-swappable hard disks as well.

The Convoy and Convoy 3DS systems can be setup with high-end SLI graphics configurations, up to 16GB of memory, solid state hard drives, Blu-ray optical drives, and the Intel Core i7-2600K processor. Those who select either of the K series processors are encouraged to also chose V3 Gaming PC's famous Launch Control overclocking service to take the performance of their system to the next level. All V3 Gaming PCs are backed by industry-leading lifetime labor and technical support services, as well as a 3-year limited warranty on parts. Built-to-order Convoy and Convoy 3DS Desktop PCs can be ordered directly from the V3 Gaming PC website.

Hope their PCs don't get socket burn from their customers running at 5GHz 24/7. :nutkick:
