I think the 3 GB Memory Buffer will help the GTX 580 perform better...
Because 6970 gives more performance at 1920*1080 and 2560*1600 than GTX 480....
But at lower resolutions the GTX 480 outperforms..
Meaning the GTX 580 will require extra memory to perform better at higher resolutions since its quite faster than a GTX 480...
Please reply if I am wrong..
I think some reviews will be the only way to tell for sure if it's the memory size holding back the 580 at higher resolutions.
