Sparkle computer's CeBIT bit booth featured an eye-catching new graphics card, the Sparkle One GTX 570. This is the first air-cooled single-slot GeForce GTX 570 series graphics card. While it is thin, the card is extremely long. We estimate around 13-inches long, if not more. Sparkle seems to be making use of the extra length to squeeze in as much metal (heatsink) as possible. A fan pushes air backwards. The card features clock speeds of 752/1504/4000 MHz (core/shader/memory).

Like every other GTX 570, it's based on the 40 nm GF110 GPU with 480 CUDA cores enabled, and 1280 MB of GDDR5 memory across a 320-bit wide memory interface. Display outputs include one each of DVI, HDMI, and DisplayPort. Sparkle expects the card to be released by next month.

They should have put the fan at the other end and made it shoot hot air out of the case. But that would just make dang sense and we can't have that with graphics cards these days.

They could have put a grill opening about the HDMI and DP ports.

Although to be completely honest I had a bit of a brain fart. >.<

what?

why they make such a useless product, what is the potential buyer? I mean - if u have small space in case then this hot card wich now cant blow hot air out will cook everything inside your small case. if u have lota thing in nerar slots - then maybe it is better to take them out and melt them with your zipo or hairdryer not with this GTX 570 (hot) side blower. and by the why how will this blow through contact that mini GPU heat sink - I mean this is no GTS 450! what next single slot GTX 590 with blow through hole between bouth GPU cores?

Maybe you have a very big case with extremely good ventilation, but you want to (tri)SLI without losing the x4 and x1 PCIe slots, where you rather have a sound card, SSD or USB 3.0 expansion card? For example?

What the point of single slot if its going to be too long for smaller cases?

why the hell would you want to waste 399$ on power sucker for an HTPC card?? Or Physx. Benchmarks have proven anything more than a GT240 for Physx is overkill.

They had to. To alleviate pcb stress from heat, and to fit in a longer heatsink as well

I understand why they did it and in a normal desktop it's not a problem. However, I things to be as small/short as they can be, so for me it's a shame. Maybe they'll release a 560 that's shorter than this but longer (& thinner) than a stock 560.

Love it!
Longer is better than higher card in my book. I have 5-6 PCI(andPCIE) slots and have already used those that are actually accesible: 2 of them :(

Nobody did LMAO with the "for those that Fold" answer? hahahaha That was subtle irony!!!

Nice. Would do great in my case, just flip the front intake fan around and install the side fan option to blow on them. As an extra plus, the PCIe power cables routing would be pretty clean, hiding most of it in the cage.

Sure Inno!.... Someone complains it is 'long' and you say "exept for those that fold"

Fold: like when you fold a pair of (long) trousers to store them.... Cool!
