Mod 4; HS removed from the back of the 6800GT, lapped to a mirror finish & legs sanded down for a perfect contact. Mod 5; Slimline fan fitted to the back of the 6800GT to aid cooling the lone HS & passive nF5 chipset HS. Mod 6; Heavily customised 6800GT BIOS. Mod 7; Customised Crosshair BIOS boot logo. Mod 8; Freezer 64 Pro HS base lapped to a perfect mirror finish. Mod 9; Replaced stock Green LED fan in PSU with a blue LED fan. Mod 10; Firmware on HDD & opticals updated. Mod 11; Cable management. Mod 12; Custom air ventilation system. Mod 13; Air funnel system for 80mm side intake fan adjusted. Mod 14; Added a bunch of bling. Mod 15; Made EMI shield for SoundMAX 7.1 add-in board. Mod 16; Win XP Pro highly optimised.
I think thats all the mods I've done, might be a few others but I can't remember them. Explaining the custom air system is hard to do without a diagram, so I'll do one and add it to the pics Starting from the bottom; the front intake blue LED 120mm fan blows air over the HDD, keeping it nice and cool, the rest of the air flows to the back mounted fan on the 6800GT, then proceeds to the VF900 before finally leaving the back of the case via some removed blanking plates. Freezer 64 Pro is also mounted as is for a specific reason; blue LED 80mm intake fan blows "clean" air in from directly outside the case, the air is picked up by the Freezer 64s fan, which simultaneously cools the CPU and the silent Crosshair heatpipe system, any hot air should then be quickly exhausted by the 120mm aluminium exhaust fan, meanwhile the built-in Mosfet cooling solution the Freezer 64 has directs a steady (and what should be constantly cool air, thanks to the blue LED 80mm side intake fan) stream of air over the DDR2 modules, the warm air thats created as a result from cooling the modules then rises and is extracted via the PSUs "pull-push" fans. Complex, isn't it?
