Can some company from nVidia at least use a different cooler for the 8800GTX/GTS >_>... honestly its not feasible for the 8800GTX/GTS, for older cards is overkill, but we are talking about more transistors on a physically bigger die area.

Good thing is OCZ used their newly developed high quality, high grade RAM.

its pretty tough to not do a good job when everybody is buying finished cards from nvidia and tacking on the branding of choice... OCZ probably did next to nothing to release an 8800GTX... all they did was chat up nvidia and draw a pretty picture for a sticker, and maybe design some packaging. tada! yet another 8800GTX "manufacturer".

what i meant is which out of xfx, gainward and ocz do get the highest clocking cores, as each these companies would tell you its them, gainward has claimed to 'cherry pick' the best clocking cores for years now for its golden sample cards (though i dont think there's been a golden sample 8800 yet)

I think that every manufacturer gets the same GPU, it's just that OCZ tests how high their GPU's can overclock before shipping them. A nice feature for overclockers. They also probably do that "high performance VRAM" thing too, which is definitely a plus for end users. Now too bad that there's no aftermarket cooling solutions that fit the G80 short of liquid cooling...Otherwise I think OCZ would have used that as well.
