Hong Kong-based NVIDIA AIC partner AFOX is ready with a graphics card based on GeForce GT 530, a GPU unheard of, till now. Some specifications were also leaked out. The GeForce GT 530 from AFOX has core clocked at 750 MHz, GDDR3 memory clocked at 1333 MHz (2.66 GHz DDR) and memory amounts of 1 GB and 2 GB. Its CUDA core count is unknown, but we don't expect it to be higher than 96 (GF108 CUDA core count). The card relies entirely on the PCI-Express bus for power, it lacks SLI support, and display outputs include one each of D-Sub, HDMI, and DVI. It is expected to be priced around US $100.

Nice old school design

a basic card for basic needs, looks cool tho

It's going to be a tough sell at the $100 price point...

Another gt430 gt440 recyacled card

when they say recycle recycle they are not takling about gpus

nvidia wtf...

probably good for physx card.

96 Cuda cores? I think that $100 would buy a lot more power in another card.

96 same amount as GT 240, so probably same performance. Should be good enough for HTPC and gaming on lower resolutions. But at $100, how can it compete against HD 5700's?

5700? not even close think 5670 5570 for 25$ more the 530 is a ripoff

It can't be official, I don't remember nVidia announcing the 530. So don't go blaming them. AFOX must have just called it a 530 to make it sound better.

So, GTX 430 becomes GTX 530.

Anyone with a GTX 430 MUST upgrade to a GTX 530.

It's an entire 100 more!

nice, i like the hsf design and the card looks compact enough. AFOX does nice job for this card

Should be 69.99
Should make a GDDR5 2GB card with 256bit bus. = I would buy it.

That would be a waste, do you really think those 96 cuda cores are going to be anything close to saturating the memory bandwidth?

I think people should mix things up with cards. I would make a 4GB GDDR5 256bit card that requies no 6 pin connector, and have the core to 950 and memory to 1200mhz. LOL

the performance is not the same, the GT 240 is faster...
GT 240 = 8 ROPs and 32 TMUs
GF108 = 4 ROPs and 16 TMUs
both have 96 "cuda cores", although the gf108 supports DX11 and had some other improvements, it is slower... not so exciting when we are talking about a 2009 cheap card (GT240), that is slower than a 8800GT from 2007.
