a fan controller is always better

also it depends on how many headers you have on your mb

for example, i would never use a Delta straight on a MB, i'd be afraid to fry my board lol

Manual fan speed better? For sure you like to control your fans while you are gaming or typing! lol
I have had some fan control kits, and it is a waste of time, money and destroys cable manengement inside the case!!

Yes, if I plan to stress my system during a heavy gaming session or encoding etc then I don't mind ramping the fans up, same is said for when I want to watch a movie and don't want to hear the fans I turn them down, letting the bios control them doesn't give you the same level of flexability

Wate of your time and your money, doesn't mean everyone has the same opinion nor does it mean yours is right.

And as far as cable management goes, if you take enough time and planning you can have a fan controller in a case and still have good cable management

I have 7 on mine but then it was a $250 mobo when i got it. And to be honest i have not really noticed many on the newer mobo's but not been looking to hard for them though.

erixx, there are some fans that simply can't be safely run off the motherboard headers. Doing so would be risking overloading the motherboard's power circuitry. Although I am curious as to what fans newtekie1 is using that consume more than 30w.

I like the look, the simplicity, the power rating, and especially the price point. Here's hoping they perform as advertised and are reliable longterm.
