How stupid that with an AMD CPU mobo, they bundle software that says it uses acceleration from Intel CPU and to top it off, it's not even a bundle since it's a 30-day trial.:shadedshu

i wish there were quality 900 series mainboards like the FX series with the phase cooling and all that but without the whole crossfire SLI gimmick to make the boards cheaper.

If you think there is any discrenable difference from one audio card to the next in today market, your pretty much on drugs. every consumer grade card made today is flat in FQ response from 20hz-20khz to within about a half a db on average. some will argue over op amp coloring, which is largely horsecrap anyways.

buy whichever board fits your needs, if you system sounds like crap, its either your listening enviroment or your speakers. More then likely its the listening enviroment.

It is always a good sign to see few rows of capacitors around realtek ALCxxx codec chip. Audio quality depends on that analog stage to greater extend. I don't find these capacitors on Asrock boards anymore, but Asus still has them.

I dontpost much but I am an audiophile so here is my 2cents, I agree with Thatguy, he is right, sound cards havent mattered for listening only since 2005 imo. If you wanna record, edit, live capture and master, there are better options, but crysis will sound great and so will all your music, invest in staging, wires, then speakers.

I like the sound of these new mouse controllable bios interfaces. they look great although I will also miss the old style blue screen with white text.

I have never owned as Asrock but have heard good things about them, I might try one next build.
