Haven't they offset that 10C difference already by saying that it was tested for 91% efficiency at 40C, but it is only "Silver" and not "Gold"?

and that supposed to impress us ? there @40C ? needless to remember how The Thermaltake Troughpower TR2 (HEC PLATFORM) 750W Is a Failure Priced as high as 70-100$ ? it don't pass @50C Test Without problem and doesn't even provide Rated energy ?

while usually like 7-9 others competitors : usually give up to +100W Then Advertised Energy At cost of a Drop of 10% in Energy Efficiency as well supporting the @50C Load according you have 3 GPU LIKE GTX 480 : a Case with only 1 Exhaust fan : and overclocekd ur CPU : then maybe the PSU Reach that @50 load

At first I didn't really understand what you meant since I don't know too much about testing PSUs and ratings BUT I now understand. This is very similar to how car audio companies rate their amplifiers, some rate the power output of their amps at .000001 total harmonic distortion(THD) and others will rate them at 1%THD, of course they usually try to leave that information out.

If you read the page for the Toughpower XT series, they're apparently tested @50C for 80PLUS Bronze efficiency (but Ecos Consulting list the series as 80PLUS Silver - tested at 25C, Thermaltake "downgraded" the rating).
