Well after a while of running it at 1.087v id start getting artifacts at desktop and shit even on default clocks and voltage

my friend also had a card that did the same thing. shitting stock VID and then artifacts after a few months. Maybe this card i have no im just being a pussy about the voltage. maybe this one could handle it. Id still like to get a new cooler to try and see what i can do, itll keep the peace while gaming either way

EDIT: oops quoted myself. But post still stands

Those have to be faulty chips. I went through three 470's, from 750-775 core to 900 on one. None had that kind of reaction. Even under dynamic changes of voltage/loads. Anyway the Icy Vision would do as a cooler. Or shoot for the Ultra GPU cooler, which is a rebadged Bifrost on the cheap.

i was looking at the Zalman VF3000 cooler for the enhanced awesome VRM cooling design

Can i have that 470! lol. If its the one you are using as physX lets trade. you dont need a good clocking card for physX:D:D

lol nah that's one's Golden, I wouldn't sell it.

The VF3000 has a finned plate, yep. And is a nice one. No software control of fan speed though.

You know what was better? I got it off a guy from eBay, it's a reference Pny. He wrote on it's page that it was used "in a home PC and not pushed in any way". Pure comedy Gold. lol...
