Awesome! I really like the new Eyefinity. Each connector gets its own sound. So I can have a movie running in the living room for the family while I game in my room!

Well... i am having an issue pegging applications to use separate sound. So even though each connector has its own sound, making windows use both at once might be tricky. You would need to have the application be able to allow you to chose which sound device to use.

Many games won't let you do that, and browsers don't seem to either, they just use the default, and you can only have one default. :/

Awwwwwwwww yeaaaaah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mixed matched resolutions!

This is nice for simulators that run cad or similar but when it comes to 16x screens that is 30m/30yards away from you then you might as well use something smaller.

Do this test. Stretch out your are and use your thumb and measure the size / how many thumbs your desktop pc or tv screen size is, then do the same with space and distance of say 16x screens.
IE: a 30" screen at 8m/8yards away is about 1 full thumb finger high and 1.5 about wide, this laptop screen is 3 thumb fingers high and 4 thumb fingers wide, when on my lap this laptop screen is nearly double that screen area in relation.

So a 17" laptop on lap screen is 8+ times bigger than a 30" tv screen. Same goes for 16x screens. You get the general idea.
Also using a (dark tv room) wall with a projector that does 8foot by 8foot or more gives you how much thumb fingers and at what price ?

@OP Looks like AMD put some serious thought into the 79** cards. They just need to get price per performance sorted before launch.

I was YEAAAAAAAHHHHing for the gaming aspect of it.

Assuming the 2 outer monitors can be rotated as well it means I can grab some cheap ass 17inch 16:9 monitors and use them for just that little bit extra at the sides : ]

I tend to find the aspect ratio is typically a bit to much with regular eyefinity.

Yeah, at home I have 3 16:9 monitors, and it makes for quite the wide ratio. But at work, I have 3 3:4 (4:3 rotated) IPS monitors, and I think that is the best experience. Sucks I can't take these home and use them for gaming, lol. They're even good for movie watching, because it's only a little wider than anamorphic widescreen, as opposed to 48:9.

My geuss is that its something like this you will choose which program goes to what output or something.

I wonder if they've fixed the way you have to setup the inputs over the screens... So you can use something like 1DVi, 1 HDMI and 1 display port

I imagine they have, they come with the adaptors so you can use DVI monitors though ( I know that isn't strictly relevant aside from being about eyefinity connectors lol)

Just thought it was an interesting bit of info
