Are you kidding me ? Man I do not want to get into this all but I will point out the fact that America is some how losing the tech industry for child labor and creep crap ! Made in china does NOT stand for quality ! And it pains me to see every thing made in other countries just because you can make it cheaper it just doesn't make any sense at all ! There are tons more reasons and we can go on and on and on about it . But I can tell you this I am sick of the fact that every thing in the tech industry must be made every place other than the USA !

Cancel some free trade agreements and reinstate some tariffs and you'll see some competition from within the US.

It's a Taiwanese company, get your geography correct, a small island just south of China populated by Chinese people back in the 50s obviously its going to have manufacturing in the Asian countries. Whats the big surprise here?

The US is actually still the largest country in terms of manufacturing, so I doubt it would be too much of a drawback. I think the major difference is we have Environmental Regulations that prevent them from dumping hazardous chemicals everywhere and such.

Well, Taiwan isn't exactly south of China so your geography isn't exactly right...
It is more to the east of southern China.

The UN actually, they tend to be pretty good about keeping these things documented. China is the fastest growing country, but the US still outpaces them, see above link.

I doubt quality will fall. Cal-Comp produces quite a bit of products including some of your favorite HDD's PCB's.

According to 2010-2011 data, China is actually 0.4% ahead of the United States (estimated), so you're technically right, but I wouldn't say I'm very wrong. I know China has been proping up factories left and right to try and displace the United States for the better part of the last 5 years.

I would never buy an Asus card simply because their design is not as effective as it could be and I find them to be rather ugly as well as being too large for my taste.

What? have you seen or used an Asus card with their Direct CUII cooling or the Matrix platinum cooling?

My Asus GTX580 does easily 1000mhz core without high temps, the best card / cooling solution ive ever had (and the schmexiest too!)
