SilverStone Debuts the TJ04-E Mid-Tower Case

Taking advantage of CES 2012, SilverStone has this week announced the successor of the 2004-released Temjin series TJ04 PC case. Known as the TJ04-E (E is for Evolution), the new chassis has an exterior that resembles the TJ04, but comes with a 'vastly' improved interior that can hold up to four 5.25-inch drives, nine 3.5-ich hard drives, six SSDs, and graphics cards up to 17 inches long.

The TJ04-E measures 214 (W) x 489 (H) x 489 (D) mm, it weights 9.6 kg, and features a steel structure, an aluminum front panel, ATX and micro ATX motherboard support, tool-free mounting for 5.25-inch drives, a custom HDD cage with built-in heatsinks and SATA cables, an I/O panel with two USB 3.0 ports, three pre-installed 120 mm fans (one on top, one on the right panel, one at the rear), and, optionally, a side window.

SilverStone's PC case is up for pre-order at 129 Euro and is expected to hit stores later this month.

It's not all about looks. There's build quality as well.

You know when you use a Lian-Li or a Silverstone, and you put in your video card, and the end of the card meets the back of the case perfectly. It's those small details that don't show on the outside of the case that tell you how well built it is. Neons and LEDs have nothing to do with it.

That is true, I did notice a HUGE step up in quality and "niceness?" of my new FT-02 when compared to my old CM690.

Liking the looks of this case but then I like the basic black and brush steel look of Lian Li cases.

At 209NZD when converted from 129Euro, isn't bad IMO.
