The SSDNow V+200 features the second-generation high-speed SATA 3.0 (6 Gb/s) SandForce SF-2281 Processor and outstanding sequential read and write speeds of up to 535 MB/s and 480 MB/s. I wonder how can be Corsair SSD drives 50-100 EUR cheaper than everyone elses drives?

They lost a lot of reputation from their Force 3 SSD's being released with firmware that caused them to BSOD constantly. They were one of the first to market, while other companies waited for a more stable firmware to push out their drives. Now that all SF-2281 drives can be updated to a stable firmware (1.3.0 or above IIRC), the only way Corsair can keep up with competition is to offer their drives cheaper, since consumers are aware of the multitude of issues that consumers had with their drives.

Woof, ~ $2/GB. How's that vs. comparable drives these days? I'm so used to $1.00-$1.50/GB on sale.

You can get a SF-2281 for a little over $1/GB if you wait for really good sales.
