EVGA kicked off its GeForce GTX 680 lineup with a bang. On its launch, EVGA showed off its first "Signature" cooling solution. That particular cooler is similar in design to NVIDIA's cooling solution (lateral-flow through aluminum channels). We're getting to know of yet another of EVGA's non-reference cooler designs for the GeForce GTX 680, the dual-fan Signature 2 cooler. Pictured below (still in its CGI form), the cooler uses two 80 mm fans that guide air through a complex heatsink below. The fans will spin at lower speeds to achieve similar/higher air-flow than the lateral-blower featured on other designs, and hence could end up being quieter. This cooler features on EVGA GeForce GTX 680 SuperClocked Signature 2.

 what a reaction, bta!!

however, that's a nice looking card indeed.. waiting for info on final clocks!.. guessing around 1150MHz core with this cooling arrangement & it will have 8+6 pin connections (of course with TDP > stock 195W)

I just did that and I couldn't be any happier with the swap. Sadly I have two unopened EK Blocks and EK back plate that I need to get rid of. 7970 is a epic card, but I had so many driver issues that it pushed me to the edge I was about to swap them out for two 580's I was so tired of them. I really loved and hated the cards at the same time.

Why not wait for new drivers?.. some days earlier, I read someone claiming a new Catalyst 12.4 version that will be outed with performance improvements as well.. but u know better as u have first hand exp..

Because most of the time with AMD drivers the wait won't deliver, sometimes partially but almost never completely.

I was tempted to wait, but I was running out of time to return this cards for full refund. So I did and I got my 680's with which I don't have to worry about those issues. I hate how eyefinity was behaving on desktop, and the arrange of desktop bar would always fail after quitting a game I would have reset everything it was just a pain. Also, I was getting terrible screen tear on side monitors for what ever reason, and the center one was fine now this is with Vsync. I can tell you this I have 0 issues with teh 680s when it comes to that. Now as for performance I can't tell a difference neck in neck. Asaide from Physx support which is limited.

By the way Adaptive Vsync is epic lol. I hope 12.4 fix's those issues I had along with GPU-z showing disabled CF and HWmonitor not recognizing the cards properly it was a slew of little things.
