EVGA is proud to introduce a new Global Warranty Policy for all EVGA products. This new warranty ensures that no matter which region you live in, you have the support that you look for when purchasing an EVGA product. The warranty will no longer belong to the purchaser but instead the product as we believe in the workmanship and quality of our products and we are here to stand behind them.

This new warranty policy will be automatically applied on any products purchased on or after July 1st, 2011.* Under this new warranty policy, all products will have a minimum of 3 years warranty, and registration is now optional.

The warranty is fully transferable. This means that if an end user transfers ownership of an EVGA product to another end user whether via a private sale, or via a second hand online site or auction site, the remainder of the warranty period also transfers to the new owner.

New bonuses will be available for original owners that do register within 30 days of purchase.

EVGA Global Warranty Key Items:
  • 3 Year Warranty Minimum - All EVGA products will carry a minimum warranty of 3 years.*
  • Warranty is now Transferrable - EVGA Global Warranty will cover the product, not the user. The warranty term starts on the date of purchase if user has invoice, or manufacture date if not.
  • Warranty Upgrades - Warranty upgrades are now available for the original owner upon registration. A 5 or 10 year warranty upgrade is available for a small price.
  • EVGA Step-Up Enhanced - Now the EVGA Step-Up program is available for any EVGA graphics or motherboard product with Warranty Upgrade.
  • Global Warranty Policy - An EVGA product is covered under warranty, no matter where you live. If you purchase a product in another country, you will be served by your local warranty center.
  • Free Standard Cross-Shipping RMA - Basic cross shipping service is now free.**
* Recertified and 1 Year Warranty products are not included.
** A credit card will be required for this service to hold charge in place until EVGA gets the defective product back.

Learn more about the EVGA Global Warranty Policy here.

Ha! Very nice but the date is not good for me. My card was bought in the US by a friend before 1st of July and shipped to me here in Eastern Europe so I'm not covered by any warranty at the moment (not registered and anyway the buyer is too far away in case there's something wrong).
But the next card will probably be an EVGA too so this is indeed a great step from a great company.

I was just going to leave a comment that this reminded me of the XFX warranty when I was volt modding and blowing up 7600GTs right and left. Really good business for EVGA to step up like this!

Good on EVGA! I never understood why companies varied their warranty policies from country to country, i thought it was/is a shady tactic.

Great news and really nice to have a global warranty. Down here we dont get warranty support for any products bought abroad and coupled with high local prices, it kind of hurts. This is going to open a whole new can of worms for other manufacturers who have so far charged us shitloads more than what the price should be.

I've been pretty loyal to ASUS and Sapphire in the ggraphics department until now - but this might make me start buying EVGA cards - the conditions are just too good.

Reminds me of Noctua sending free LGA 2011 upgrade kits.

Noctua still sending free upgrade kit, today i actually just receive my NM-A90 mounting kit for free, directly shipped from Austria.

anyway..EVGA Asia customers may benefit more from this as we are getting use to receive overpriced product with mediocre after sales service.

Worse ?. yes but as long as you buy it with their cooler it's still lifetime..

And lets not forget the small print with this

The only thing I see here is that EVGA has downgraded their warranty program, unless I'm just reading it wrong.

I've purchased a ton of EVGA gear, and I've loved it all....and they all came with a Lifetime warranty after registering. So what is all the hub bub about? I see this as a downgrade.

Yes but I an safely assume that you are in the good old gun toting, rooting tooting US of A?
This is an upgrade for the rest of the world, that have pretty much been shit out of luck regarding extended warranties.

Ahh yes, well I did think that might be part of it, so it makes more sense. I figured I might be missing something on this story.

Still, EVGA is a top notch company with customer service that is above and beyond what I expect from most companies.

Yes, worse. With the release of the AMD 7000 series, their double lifetime warranty is gone. Now their warranties don't transfer. As far as the enthusiast community here goes, that's worse.

Minimum 3 years? Big deal, every other major player does that. This isn't a good thing at all, they used to cover every thing with a lifetime warranty, but over the past year most of their cards have dropped to 3 years except on the extremely expensive cards. They just aren't anything special anymore since they did that.
