First unveiled this January, Reeven's extreme-cooling pot (model: RECC-01) launched in various markets. In Japan, it is being marketed by Scythe. Measuring 70 x 70 x 160 mm (WxDxH), and weighing 900 g, the RECC-01 is a liquid nitrogen or dry-ice evaporator. Aluminum makes up most of its body, while nickel-plated copper makes up its base. Its base dissipation surface has 18 circular pits. An AEROFLEX polymer insulation sleeve is included. Also included are a retention module supporting Intel sockets LGA2011, LGA1155/LGA1156, LGA1366 and LGA775; and AMD sockets FM1/AM3+/AM3/AM2+/AM2; and a thermal probe port. It is priced at 19,980 JPY (US $242).

Wouldnt it be literally cool if a liquid nitrogen loop was perfected so you dont have to constantly pour LN2 INTO the cup? But i guess it wouldnt work cuz of vapor rate at normal room temperature

Overclocking like this is like drag racing the quarter mile. It's not for every day, and some people find it fascinating to see just how fast you can go.

If you don't care, why post exactly? To share your apathy? Isn't that going against what apathy is?

Sigh...
At $250, I'd much rather have an F1 Gemini Rev 2.

Of course, both of those pots would be similar in performance as far as fast base for the Gemini vs this...Gemini offers more flexibility with other bases.

You need lots of insulation too.
Many combinations you can use such as:
Art eraser
Conformal spray/brush coating
paper/shop towels
tape pipe insulation
round pipe insulation
flat pipe insulation
cloths...
etc.

LN2 storage containers (dewars) cost between $300-900 second hand to new. You can get them filled at welding supply stores or medical gas stores.

Usually between $1 USD and $3 USD / litre depending on country and location. Some people can get it as cheap as $.50c or .5 euro / L... 25L is enough for a single person and a night or two...

For that price (250 bucks) it's more practical to buy a ticket to Arctic or Antarctic and build your rig there. I'm sure you are not gonna have no problems with high temperatures ever again.

Why do we build racecars with 900hp?

To go fast! :slap:

-190c + MHz and -30c + MHz are not the same level of fast.

Actually i think this is worse, it has less copper in the base than any other Ln2 base I have seen . The koolance LN2 rev 2.90 had a heavier base, for refernce koolance weighs 1.77kg, so prob like 1.5kgz in the base, maybe 1.2kg. I have the gemini rev 2, and the fast base is VERY slow compared to the koolance. The koolance has more weight than this pot, but also more holes.

IDK I don't like how small that base is, maybe its good for Celerons.
