They're all the same game. MW2 has a map that is exactly the same as a WaW map

thats not the only map to come back. There are maps from even the first CoD1 and UO expansion that have made it into the 'newer' generation of CoD games.

Thank god i really liked blackops and when i brought MW3 i played it for a hour and deleted it off my system, i do now and then play blackops still but its boring over played it, They must of sore there f@ck up.

Yea, I didn't care to much for black ops.. I have to say my favorite was W@W... They gave all the map packs to the pc players.. Sure we had to wait a month to get them.. but hell they were free! I was really hoping BO would be the same way.. but the Big "A" had to put a stop to that... and all this talk about reusing maps?.. If it's a great map then why not? This has been done forever... OH and just think when ever they do make a new engine or at least add DX11 they will resell all the games in a HD collection.. and everybody will eat it up... hehehe Win win.. They won't make a new engine anytime soon, that sort of things requires money, and Activison would rather spend a half a billion dollars on marketing than a couple million on a development team to make a new streamlined engine. I'm sure this game will feature some stupid gameplay elements (Crossbows with Pirana attached to the tips--take that Crysis 3!!!) and reskinnings of several "Classic" maps, then a post-launch patch to add some Zombie Horde mode, it's depressingly predictable...

because you are supposed to be paying for new content. you pay for map packs but 3 out of the 5maps they give you arent even new maps which means they didnt really put a lot of effort into the game.

same thing can be said about CoD in general. MW2, BLops & MW3 are the same as MW1 with some retexturing here and there and some new weapons.

In essence...You are paying for the same game you already own. and that doesnt say good things about the game or the studios that made it.

but hey If the world are happy to lap it up despite the serious lack of innovation, creativity and originality then I guess they will keep on doing it over and over again because people are too happy to look the other way and part with their money like fools in a matter of seconds.

I know people who thought BLops, MW2&3 was the best game ever - PERIOD and threated to delete me on FB - PEOPLE IVE KNOWN LONGER THEN A DECADE if I dont stop speaking so negatively about the game.... Two weeks later, they wont even touch the game anymore and when i mention it they get all sulky and avoidant because they know Im right and ive been telling them all along.

If someone were to ever do an indepth mass comparison of the CoD franchise, they will see how much promise was in CoD1&UO before it slowly started going down hill.

I would defiantly not call COD Black Ops an "expansion pack" of COD4 , it's a whole different freaking game.
I am a COD player besides being a BF3 player (Yes, you can play both!) and the only thing i can tell
by 3arc's games is that unlike IW they always try to bring something new to the table.

Who is 3 Arc??? I thought Treyarch was the makers of the off year releases.

when the main competition has planes, tanks, jeeps and 64 man dedicated servers on huge maps. there doesnt seem to be much place for COD imho anymore

and this is not me being a fanboy, this is coming from a long term COD player.

after Black ops and MW3 i will not be purchasing another Call of Duty title. even though i am certain that others will continue to consume the recycled garbage.

the only thing that will change my mind is a next gen engine. and total overhaul

Too bad DICE had to break BF3 in order to compete with the MW series...

Hey, 3arc is half the characters of Treyarch, not counting the "shift" keystroke... So the lucky person to type it that way saved 5 keystrokes. COUNT THEM! FIVE!

Activision is a publisher, they don't make ANY engines. All Activision does is market and publish games, that is their sole purpose in the industry. Treyarch and Infinity Ward took id's tech 3 engine and "modified" it for their games. Now, I'll give credit where credit is due. They both did a fantastic job making their titles look more modern with the alterations they made to the engine. But I highly doubt Infinity Ward and Treyarch would be this successful without the engine being provided to them by id.

I think a lot of people tend to forget about id and what they're main purpose is in the industry, engine creation. Even though RAGE was a letdown to many gamers (me especially), the game developers are probably still wiping the drool from their jowls now that they have an idea of what id tech 5 engine can do. I can see a lot of mmo and sandbox game dev's wanting id tech 5 for the virtual texture feature alone.

I'd like to see Infinity Ward and Treyarch make a game based off id tech 5 because they're current games really do look dated when you compare it to something that comes out of Crytek's camp. I'm pretty sure they have something planned for the next gen consoles coming in 2013-2014 and I'm guessing it will be Modern Warfare 4 unfortunately.

As it is, Rage is still the only game that uses idTech5, and it was a pretty big piece of crap that was horribly optimized and featured really low-res textures, so it isn't exactly off to a great start unlike other iterations.

People are just tired of the Gaming Industry shying away from innovation and publishers refusing to take chances. There was a time when every year you would see dozens of new and interesting games, that were published by big name companies, now it's mostly just sequels and recycled crap...

You are asking what reason we have to hate on a gaming company with a very large influence on the gaming world who releases the same shit with a different bucket (they call 'games') all the time, without putting two shits of effort into it, and makes millions off every one, while great, original, ground-breaking games from other developers get little fiscal returns or recognition? You believe we have no reason to hate?
