The Aspire One 725 was designed to skillfully combine a tasteful and stylish look with terrific performance enabling users enjoy a sensational visual experience for superb multimedia - movies, games, photos, videos - wherever they go. This netbook delivers a state-of-the-art user experience and amazing HD visuals anytime, anywhere.

The Aspire One 725 definitely stands out and not only for performance. Available in two color options, Caribbean blue and Volcanic black, it flaunts a gorgeous glossy, glittery cover. The soft matte finish of the palm-rest matches the color of the cover, for a more pleasant look, and prevents fingerprints and palm smudges. Thinner than 1-inch and around only 1.2 kg, it easily fits into any handbag or backpack while providing a comfortable viewing thanks to the 11.6" screen.

This new netbook comes with a high-brightness Acer CineCrystal LED-backlit display, with both HD resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio, making it ideal for both entertainment and productivity. To provide a seamless experience, it's equipped with an HDMI port to easily connect to HDTVs, widescreen monitors or projectors and share Hi-Def video content. And, to chat face-to-face, capture photos or video-conference there is the Acer HD CrystalEye webcam with Acer Video Conference Manager to enhance image quality and allow for photo, document and screen sharing on the spot!

With AMD APU Fusion technology, combining AMD C processor and AMD Radeon HD 6290 graphics, supporting the latest graphic standards, real time image processing and edge sharpening, the Aspire One 725 accomplishes any task in a breeze. Now it's possible to experience full high-definition video over the web, up to 3 times faster online video streaming and enjoy HD movies.

What's more, the Aspire One 725 not only is ready to make the most of web browsing and to take advantage of today's more visual digital universe, but it can efficiently perform everyday tasks, such as emailing, chatting, photo viewing, document editing and delivers multitasking capabilities, even with demanding applications.

they could fit it, but they would have to make it more xpesive, and acer tries to be the cheapest option, thats y i luv em, and remember that all brazos 2.0 are 18w where as the c series are 9w, more battery life and a slower fan

I wouldnt mind it being more expensive. Performance comes at a price and im cool paying a little extra for it.

What i dont understand is they already have an ACER ONE 722 thats literally IDENTICAL to this 725 there are no differences in hardware apart from some slight cosmetic differences.

722 = 1.35Kg
725 = 1.2Kg

whoop-de-doo - a full 150grams lighter.

the 722 is so dirt cheap its dirty cheap, Its the dirtiest slut of cheap. its the slutiest dirtiest slut of cheap. its so dirty cheap that theres nothing it wont do for cheap.

Forget all the artsy fartsy new colours and the 150g weight saving from getting its balls shaved. The 725 will push prices of the 722 DOWN and since they are identical, it just makes the 722 better value for money unless youre an art/fashion student who prefers a more 'sculpted' or more outlandish 'in yo face' looks/designs that totally screams - Faaaaabulousssssssssssss. If that is truely the case then you sir are looking at the wrong kind netbook/laptop.

theyre probably just betting that if you want the e350/450 you will just get the asus 1215b and if this drives the price of the 722 even lower, then more 4 me...lol

at this stage I wouldnt even consider a E-450 when Brazo's 2.0 is so close you could almost smell the silicon used to make them at the fab plant.

for the less tech savvy though or for the people who just dont care. Price drops will be a good thing, but i doubt the Acer ONE 722 will drop much further here in the UK. prices are already around $420 which is just crazy cheap. E-350/450 powered netbooks have really fluctuated in price though. one moment they are the same price as the 722 then next its back upto $560. - this is only for netbooks of course. nothing bigger the 11.6". I know there are some 15.6" E-350/450 powered laptops about and they cost the same as the netbook, but they tend to look extremely plasticky for me.

So, what is the advantage of Brazos 2.0? I've tried looking, and all I see are completely minor clock speed bumps over the E450, and even the high end Brazos 2.0 still is limited to a DDR3-1333 mhz single channel controller. Other than that, the chipset it's paired with has support for USB3.0.

If it was the 28nm Krishna dual/quad cores still within the 18W TDP spec (preferably with an HD 6450 based GPU core with 160 stream processors), then that would be quite a worthy upgrade.

as far as i can tell right now, the only real difference is gonna be the GPU. Netbookcheck says the 7340 is roughly about 10% faster then the 6320 (E-450) so you will see quite a substantial jump when it comes to gaming.

E-350's are decent when it comes to gaming but far from amazing, a bump in the clocks will bring in more people who like to game a little on the go.
