Namco unveils Tekken 6

1up got an exclusive look at Tekken 6, the sequel to Tekken 5. This version of Tekken had a brilliant trailer, however according to 1Up, it doesn't quite live up to expectations. It certainly is no "slouch" though. It is very obvious throughout the game demo that Namco really worked on making the next version of Tekken shine on the PS3. Good thing too, because that's the only console this next Tekken will work on.

I didnt either, but Tekken is an awesome and beautiful game and this one just shows off the muscle of the ps3. Man I cant wait.

Tekken 5 is possibly the hardest games in the series, for an average fan this game was so hard you would lose interest in one day. If Tekken 6 follows this trend regardless of how great it looks it will be on special offer very quickly.

alot of games these days are being made way too challenging for the developers own good.

How was Tekken 5 hard? I've owned each game in the series and it was simply just a build up. Hell as a complete newb you could play the game with button mashing and still manage to do alright.

That's for both the console version and the arcade version. Besides the console version had Tekken 3 in it. That was neat.

And that video is HORRIBLE. Tekken 6 has the exact same graphics as Tekken 5.

Im very dissapointed.. but also relieved that i dont have to buy a PS3 anymore, wich is a waste of money, and can go ahead with my plan for a high-end PC and an Xbox 360.

You can't blast a games graphics based on a trailer, without first knowing the capture method, capture resolution, and final encoding method. 9/10 times these things are optimized for web use, to relieve server stress. Too high of a compression on the final encoding alone, will account for going from hi-res graphics to ps2 like graphics.

EDIT: Omg! I just watched the trailers on Gametrailers.com You are blasting based on those videos?! First off, those were optimized for streaming. IE: horribly compressed. Secondly, even horribly compressed, those graphics are still better than PS2.

Graphics - 7/10, Sound - Can't hear the image, Game- c'mon takken rocks!!,Difficulty- same as Tekken 5 if ur a normal player, if habituated player then mediocre difficulty .

The videos are deff better then Tekken 5, from the screens I thought the backgrounds were a little iffy, but even in watching a streaming video, it looks pretty good. We'll have to wait for some real quality footage.....or for the game to actually be out and such
