MSI's upcoming GeForce GTX 660 Ti HAWK 3 GB graphics card, installed in 3-way SLI configuration was pictured. One of the three was put through 3DMark03 and 3DMark 11. The picture reveals a card that looks similar to the company's GeForce GTX 670 Power Edition. MSI used double the memory amount, by populating the GPU's 192-bit wide GDDR5 memory interface with 3 GB of memory (2 Gbit x 12). The card is cooled by MSI's Twin Frozr IV cooling solution. It is clocked at 1020 MHz GPU core, 1098 MHz GPU Boost, and 6.00 GHz (GDDR5-effective) memory. The GPU-Z screenshot reveals more details.

While three of these cards were pictured in 3-way SLI configuration, only one of the three were put through tests. The cards were driven by a yet-unannounced GeForce 304.87 beta driver. In 3DMark03, the MSI GeForce GTX 660 Ti HAWK scored 18,731 points, and in 3DMark 11 Extreme Preset, it scored X2,862 points. Both these figures are similar to those of a reference NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670.

Double the amount of memory? So standard only has 1.5 GB? How do these scores compare to 3 GTX 670s?

That would mean the TweakTown Review was BS...So far all suppose reviews contradict each other.

Atleast this one has Screenshots of a product and not redacted or photoshop images.

its very easy to estimate the performance of the 660ti if its only a smaller bus, just get a 670 and downclock the memory to where it has the same memory bandwidth as a 192bit bus and benchmark it. i wonder why no1 did it yet

its not the same thing and the 660ti also have only 24rops how would you simulate that?

so, 3gb version of overclocked 660ti = reference gtx 670. I'm very curious about the reference gtx 660ti performance vs 7950

This is nice 3 way sli capable..... Nvidia I think just put the largest nail in AMD's coffin this gen. If you can buy a GTX 660ti for lets say $300 bucks.... well then the HD7870 and HD 7950 is going to suffer big time. Why buy a HD 7870 or HD 7950 for the price AMD is offering when you can buy 3 of these and be on a level of 3 way hd 7970 / gtx 670?

Good point, however we continue to assume thsi is a $300 part, it may well be though because as previously, AMD will reduce their prices to compete, whether they can reduce them to a level that is both competative and remains profitable is really the big question.

24 ROPs I hope that is a glitch...once I went 48 ROPs I'm not going back to anything near 16 ROPs.
(4850 -> 16 ROPs / 480 -> 48 ROPs)

Guess my best bet for ROPs is the 780/770 and or the 8970/8950 next year...

Well if you haven't see the rumors yet, this is going to be priced at about $350... If it was $300 then nvidia would be trolling us... as they do with their 670 to the 680 haha. Well anyway, note that 7950 comes out in this price range too... That'd make the 660 Ti a really good alternative to the 7950 :) and will hopefully force AMD to put down prices of 7950 :p. Even If this was the score of OC'd GPU and 3GB Version, the original one shouldn't be more than 10% slower than 670.

Why buy any of them when 7970s can be found for $368 & $389 in the US. This MSI card is 118mhz OC. Overclock a 7970 118mhz and you have the fastest single gpu on the market for under $390, lower if you can find the Visiontek for $369.

Unless your a product loyalist the economics dont favor it.

The cheapest I could find on Newegg was $420 so if somebody is selling the card at $370 it means they are desperate and might as well give them for free. Also the rest of the world, at least Europe, has different prices so it is not a general rule. On the other hand I don't want to be in the shoes of somebody who payed 550$ on that card in March when NV had not yet released Kepler and find out that just in 5 months time my card is worth less than 400$. As long as NVidia keep their prices where they are it means they are selling. AMD is probably not selling and therefore they try to make the prices more attractive.

Back to the 660Ti, this card will probably be at maximum $300. It will be considerably better (out of the box) than the 7870, a card at 280$ and will trade blows with the 7950, a card at 350$.
