Today, BitFenix is proud to announce its latest chassis design - Ghost. Equipped with an all new silencing material while supporting high-end hardware such as water cooling radiators and long graphics cards, Ghost is the silent PC chassis that packs a serious punch.

"After changing the way people think about the mini-ITX form factor with Prodigy, fans around the world have been wondering what would happen if BitFenix were to design a chassis with focus on silence. Today, it gives us great pleasure to reveal the answer to that question - Ghost," says BitFenix Product Manager David Jarlestedt. "Extremely silent yet surprisingly capable, we believe fans of silent chassis are going to fall in love with our newest creation."

Tuned for Silence. Built for Vengeance.

Ghost begins with a modern minimalistic look that blends into virtually any decor. Its clean lines are supported by a single silver arch, the shape of which is mirrored perfectly by the front door vents. Coating the outside is a new surface treatment from BitFenix dubbed NanoChrome. This specially developed coating combines an enamel with mother-of-pearl powder, which is then applied to the surface of the case and heated to high temperatures. The result is a uniform finish that perfectly blends together both plastic and metal parts.

Opening the front door reveals BitFenix Serenitek silencing material. Dense yet light weight, Serenitek covers the inside of both the front door and the two side panels to help trap unwanted noise inside the chassis. The door itself is a dual hinge design, which allows users to open the front door from the left or from the right on-the-fly. Up top are two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports, as well as the BitFenix S4. This compartment is equipped with a hot-swap bay that features a high speed SATA III port, making it ideal for transferring data from hard disks and SSDs without having to open up the case. Best of all, removing the top fan filter reveals a cavernous compartment designed to accommodate a slim 240 mm radiator, making Ghost a perfect foundation for a silent water cooled rig of destruction. On the bottom of the case, you'll find a handy magnetic dust filter, as well as dual rails that are designed for BitFenix Alchemy LED Strips. Simply affix the LED strips to these rails, route the power cables through the pre-drilled holes in the steel body, and you've got an impressive under lighting effect in no time at all.

On the inside, Ghost delivers other impressive features that help keep noise to a minimum. Dual 120 mm Spectre fans move air through the case while remaining whisper quiet, and anti-vibration HDD trays help muffle rotating hard disks. Rubber grommets help reduce sound caused by air turbulence and rubber padding for the PSU helps keep PSU noise down. Ghost users will also find a specialized SSD rack that not only allows the installation of up to three 2.5" SSDs, but also allows for graphics cards up to 330 mm in length without any modifications! Tool-free drive locking mechanisms make ODD and HDD installation a snap, while a massive CPU cooler cutout enables quick swapping of CPU coolers.

Pricing and Availability

BitFenix Ghost carries an MSRP of 89€ in the EU, $99 in North America, and will be available on store shelves at the end of September.

VERY Sexy case! Has no use for windows. I don't stare thru them to look at my hardware. If I got to look at it I'm taking the side off it.

Windows?!?!? lol We don't need no stinkin' windows!

Nothing fancy, but for the price i think it's a great fit! Hopefully the paint is better on these then on my Prodigy. Just from test fitting components i noticed some peeling/chips already

I love my case just the same, i just may have to paint it sooner rather than later  I mean even with tax and bus fare i still came in under $100! The change went into the beer fund :pimp:

Guess i should make it clear; I like this paricular case and it would definately be in my top 3/4 choices if i was building an ATX based machine :)

@ entropy: If you had to remove the knobs what ever would you do with yourself? :p lol I kid, I kid :respect:

you are supposed to show off your build using a windowed case, not stare at it. :p

Adults don't care to show off things that mean nothing in the grand scope of things. Plus it's a SILENT case! Hence NO WINDOW. If you want a windowed case there are other options, if you love this case and have to have it, a Dremmel is easy enough to use and a small sheet of lexan is cheap enough and can be stuck on with double sided tape. BINGO! Windowed case to satisfy your epeen

Show it off to who? I don't make a habit of inviting my friends over to peer into my window to look at my hardware. It "shows off" it's power on my screen and what it can do. It's FUNCTION not Fashion ;)

That's what Trophy Wives are for. :p If they don't have the hardware yet, you gotta get them an upgrade! :p

I'm rocking a P280 with no window, trying to escape fan noise. I'd love 100% silence outta my PC at this point.

Not exactly a fan of showing off things. I used to be like a year or two ago, but i grew out of it. More about the actual features now.

On topic: This is a damn nice case. I like the 2.5" bays, that's cool. Could maybe do without the front 3.5" bay and either more fan room or more 5.25" bays.

true, for me cutting window and painting the case in colours of my clients choice would cost only 400-500INR(apprx:8-9US$). After that I can charge them like 4-5times that, so I wont pay for the optional window anyways. :rockout:
Apart from that this is a really decent case with good features and price.

I really like this case I can see they really thought out some things on the inside. The one thing I'm confused about is why they have a slot for an floppy drive... I like how they've made it easy to screw in the pci bracket by cutting part of the case.

I've got a P280 right now as well and I find it to be quiet enough.

I gave up the "battle for silence" a long time ago. My "ancient" Kandalf LCS is running the stock 3x120's on the rad on the front(2pin no fan control) So I chucked in a couple of ADDA 2000RPM "turbines" that were in my old Asetek External WC unit. I have always meant to replace the rad fans with some Noctua's or similar but can't be arsed to redo all the wiring for them. I bought a couple of Akasa Apache's when I put the newest "guts" in the case but them old ADDA's just can't be beat for pushing air. So I always go back to them. I of course run Fan Control on them so they aren't "bellowing" all the time. But I game in 5.1 anyway so the noise isn't that much of a concern anyway.

Yeah, but BitFenix wanted to change the way I thought about silent cases. One way would have been to design a silent case with a window :)

Nice case and all (except for that port area on top), but it's no Prodigy of the silent case market.

Not bad. Has a very clean look and seems to have some pretty decent wire management internally. As Jizzler stated, not crazy about the front external ports. That would place wires right in front of the door.

Actually perspex is a better at reflecting sound, where as steel or aluminium allow sound to pass through them.
