Specs:
Intel Desktop Board D525MW Mini-ITX 1.8GHz
4GB DDR3
Pico-PSU 150W (and external power brick)
802.11B/G Wifi (recycled from an old laptop)
Toshiba 200GB 2.5" HDD
ASUS DVD burner
Windows 7 Professional 32-bit

Mods:
I fit computer hardware inside of a toaster. The front lever acts as the power button. The temperature control adjusts the brightness of the internal red LEDs.

It doesn't make toast, but it does burn DVDs.

An awesome mod would be, you put the disc in the top, pull down the toaster lever, sucks in the DvD, then whens its done burning, it pops out the DvD. Everybodies Happy, DvD toast !

BTW, I voted 8/10. Because I like the idea. Cover the top hole in a nicer manner though (e.g. a mesh), it could have been a 9.

Thanks for the coments. What could I do to make it a perfect 10?

Maybe just clean up the top? Put some mesh over the empty gap, or atleast cleanup the wire poking out, otherwise, its great!

That was what I was thinking. It's great and cool and all but to make it that perfect it could use some finish. :)

If it's one of those cube like printers you could build a file server of one. I thought about doing that with an old HP with fried electronics but I don't have the money for such projects. :)

I like Waffles

Awesome! I was hoping when I first saw it that the front lever was the power button and the dial was a fan control, and it is! Great job, and it makes a statement, like the line between toasters and computers is getting blurry! (it is, isn't it?). And take comfort in the fact that if a wire shorts out and it goes up in smoke (God forbid), you can turn to the wife and say "I think this computer is toast". Sorry, couldn't resist. Anyways, I think some kind of cover on top that still lets the red shine through like toaster slots would be awesome and give it a finished look. Also, you should probably patent it so you can sue LG when they come out with next year's kitchen computer and it looks like a toaster.

Actually the temperature control adjusts the brightness of the LEDs. I'm not sure that I could patent it since I believe this has been done before.
