Specs:
Intel PXA 312mhz Processor
32MB RAM
320x320 TFT-LCD Display
2GB External Storage
1.2MP Camera
Bluetooth v1.0
PalmOS 5.2.1

Mods:
Removed blue rubberized paint using fine 120grit sandpaper, used sandpaper to get "brushed aluminum" look on underlying metal. Replaced launcher with appshelf, patched in FAT32 support.

My Zire72 was getting fugly like with all the peeling blue paint... and now its pretty!

you want to try this yourself, heres some tips:
1. sand laterally. if you sand in the same direction always, you get a nice brushed metal look, instead of random scratches.
2. don't sand too much. the whole body isn't made of metal, its only coated in metal. sanding too much will get you down to plastic
3. cover up the screen while sanding so you don't scratch it. scratches are bad.
4. cover all open ports, otherwise they'll be filled with gunk.

NICE TO SEE SOMEONE AS CRAZY AS ME!
I actually did that with my razr. i don't use the phone anymore i was just bored rofl. I covered the portholes, key-pad and screens with painters tape and cut it to size with a razor blade. I sanded with 600 and then used 0000 steel wool to get the brushed metal look. For the record you can't do this to the whole razr. Much of it is plastic so it will be a zebra when you are finished...

nice pda man
i personally love the brushed chrome look

its plain, but stylish at the same time, and it stands out well.
Is there a guide you used for sanding/painting cases that you used?

Im looking to repaint my old compy (came out blotchy last time)

try keeping your speed constant and do a 50/50 overlay on each pass so you have as even of a coat as you possibly can. As far as sanding goes....depends on the material.

@ex_reven,

nope, i just whipped out some sandpaper and sanded away. not exactly the best method, imo, but it works.
