EK Water Blocks, Ljubljana based premium water cooling gear manufacturer, is working on a new Full Cover water block for ASUS premium Republic of Gamers series MATRIX 7970 graphics cards (both Platinum MATRIX-HD7970-P-3GD5 and regular MATRIX-HD7970-3GD5 edition).

The upcoming EK-FC7970 MATRIX water block will directly cool the GPU, RAM as well as VRM (voltage regulation module) as water will flow directly over these critical areas thus allowing the graphics card and it's VRM to remain stable under high overclocks. EK-FC7979 MATRIX water block will also features a very high flow design therefore it could easily be used in liquid cooling systems using weaker water pumps.

The water block will be available for purchase through EK Webshop & Partner Reseller Network by late February 2013.

Neither, the PCB has some changes to its power supply system, as well as where exactly its at so no, it is not a ref PCB (i have the 7970DD at my possession)

were talking about the 7950DD not 7970.
