Specs:
asus a8n32 sli delux mainboard, amd 4000 at 3.12ghz 312x10 2x1024meg corsair xms 3338 259.2mhz 2xevga 7900gt at 600/800 coolermaster hyper48 cpu cooler 2xcre 120mm blue fans 2x120mm Tt thunderblade tri led fans 1xantec 120mm antec blue fan 1x200mm antec tri speed fan modified stock cooling on gpu's 2x200gig wd sata1 hdd in raid 0 nvidia raid FSP bluestorm 500 watt psu

Mods:
custom made molex and sata power connectors, clipped off molex for all fans and attached 3pin so i could attach them to mainboard, added vantec 3channel fan and light controller to control front fans and side fan, modded coolermaster hyper48 from 92mm fan to 120mm thermaltake thunderblade fan, optimized windows xp pro installation with serv. pack 2,

this is practically a new rig, i have a dfi board but the bios chip went in it so i picked up an asus a8n32 delux board, the cards i picked up off a friend for 300 for the pair and the cpu i got for free as a gift from a friend. i bought the antec nine hundred thinking it was a godsend for air cooling but it's a nightmare to work with, i'm been toying around with it for a few weeks on and off. i have a better psu but i hate cutting cases apart so i cut all the wires off a fsp 500 watter and redid the wiring so i had just the cables i needed, all in all with the mods about at 12 hour build minus windows installation plus the 30 or so games i play. tell me what you think it's my last for s939 next mod will be an am2

I would not say he quite snapped,lol,..but I agree about the cardboard,...looks tacky.
But man what a case!All that room!!6.457/10 for now.But do something with that "stealth cardboard wire-hider" and I will re-vote!

Wires everywhere, Pointless fans, Cardboard.. Remove most of those fans especially on the cpu cooler. going from the 92mm it was designed for to a 120mm gives a bigger deadspot on the heatsink. great way to increase temps. try adding fans based on your temps, not the "more is better" ideal. also bust out a dremel and make them wires disapear.

bonkers he has plenty of airflow, hes just trying to make 100% sure he has enough. the side panel fan? not needed at all. the larger fan on the heatsink, try it with the little one and then the 120mm. unless the old fan is either dead or runs at 500rpm it should give better temps.

so your intake is 2x 250mm, and outtake is just a single 120mm??? that seems to be a restriction in airflow.

edit...and it doesnt even come with a 120 fan...

edit2...150cfm per fan...WOW, but without a 300cfm outtake (that doesnt exist in a 120), you just have no proper air flow. proper air flow will have intake = outtake...

thank you all for your ideas and input, just to shed some light, i'm a thermodynamics engineer at the navy yard in newport ri, so heat is my speciality, secondly, all those fans, are still completely silent. i bought the coolermaster hyper48 and ran it with a 92mm fan for over a year, i got bored one night and used my computer as a test to see how well a 120mm fan would work, and i feel safe to say my previous load temp of 45-48c dropped to around 41-42 in the same room and the hsf never left the cpu in my modding, there is no "dead spot" in the cooler, it works incredibly, as for the fan on the side, my video cards are noticibly cooler, what i did was remove the stock hsf witht he tiny obnoxiously loud fan and add a thin 80mm fan from the stock amd hsf's to each card and remove the plastic cover on the hsf to fit the fan and seal the edges where i didn't want air escaping, allows me to run the 1.55 vmod on the 7900's and keep them at a stable load temp of about 50 at 600/800 and i've actually began pushing that number to 650/900 and everything is still going just fine, my house is always around 71-74 due to central air and i think the temps are very acceptable, there is a slight positive pressure in the case which is good for cooling and although that case you posted in the comments looks impressive with it's fans, it only has one and i wanted one to cool my hdd's and one to feed directly to my cpu, it also blows air around the cpu via the side fan to keep my chipset at 29c either load or idle with just the heatpipe cooler. i apologize for the cardboard, it's only temporary, i'm working on either a solid aluminium or fiberglass arangement that will effectively cover all the wires without me haveing to cut apart the case but i'm sorry ladies and gentlemen i have a think against cutting apart a case. so for now it's a strong contender for a s939 system, right now i've got it at 260x12 giving me 3120mhz me at 1-1 260mhz 3337 at 2.9 htt at 1040 which is almost a completely harmoneous oc imho. i'm very happy with it, and i understand it needs some tweaks, so provided with my knowhow and drive to improve and your comments on the topic i think i'll get everything working just fine. thank you all very much.

i have the same case and i agree with what you said. excellent case but i spent a ton of time tweaking it. it does create a nice air tunnel flowing from the ram to the cpu cooler and to the exhust. i like the wire work. i might have to copy what you did to it. can you give me to pointer as how you got it to fit so nicely?

sure i'll give you all the help i can, thanx for the comment, it's an icredible case for an air cooled system, what exactly are you looking for a tip for? i basically took an old fsp bluestorm i knew would do the job and cut all the wires save for 1 pcix, 4pin, and atx i stripped the 4pin of it's sleaving and ran it behind the mobo to the top corner, i then ran the atx and the 1 pcix up the back side of the case on the mobo side of the tray and used wireties and mounts to keep it all the way back, i then ran 2 custom made molex's up the side that i made with 14gauge wire and wiretied them to the side where the door covers it, and then i made 1 molex with a 6pin pcix on the end and used that for the 2nd 7900 and the ezplug, i then just wired in 1 dual sata plug and an extra molex for the fan controller and that was it, it's working out really well, keeps things nice and chilly

i changed some pics, through in a pic of the whole setup, i removed the cardboard and replaced it with plastic, won't say where the plastic came from but it aint cardboard, those who said they'd revote please do. and tell me what you think of the whole room, i moved about a week ago and had to change things a bit.
