TP-LINK, a global provider of networking products, today announced its new 3G Mobile Wi-Fi M5350, designed to provide high-speed Internet access anywhere you go. This iF 2013 Product Design Award Winner and CES Innovations 2013 Design and Engineering Award Honoree is at the forefront of wireless 3G sharing, combining the mobility of 3G broadband connections using its internal 3G modem with the flexibility of Wireless 802.11n and powered using a high-capacity 2000 mAh internal rechargeable battery creating a robust wireless sharing device with unbeatable performance.

With its sleek "pebble-like" design and OLED status display, the M5350 is as comfortable at the beach as it is on the conference table. Whether on a business trip or a road trip with their family, users can enjoy the freedom of wireless internet wherever 3G coverage is available, without having to haul around a bulky device. With its powerful 200 0mAh battery the M5350 is able to operate for a full 7-10 hours at full capacity and can be flexibly recharged via a micro USB cable connected to a laptop, portable charger or included adapter to provide endless hours of 3G sharing.

TP-LINK's M5350 will be shown at CES from January 8-11, 2013 Las Vegas Convention Center South Hall 4-Upper Level, Booth 36212.

The M5350 will also be displayed in The Venetian at the 2013 International CES, which runs January 8-11, 2013 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Honorees will also be displayed at CES Unveiled: The Official Press Event of the International CES from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday, January 6 in the South Seas Ballroom C at Mandalay Bay.

The device is incredibly easy to deploy, allowing even novice users to get their networks up and running in a flash. With a SIM slot supporting HSPA+ 3G broadband connections featuring download speeds up to 21Mbps and upload speeds up to 5.7 Mbps, users have ample bandwidth with which to share files and media across their mobile network and even play online games while on the move.

With an internal Micro SD Card slot for storage up to 32 GB, users can also have their M5350 function as a portable hard drive in which to store and share their data.

as someone whose used mobile broadband for a long time. This is nothing new - my mobile network provider has been selling similar units like these with digital displays and all sorts of bling for a long long time now and the design is nothing new.

Its not worthy of the awards it receives when all TP-Link did was add support for 802.11n compared to the 'older' units.

its not going to cure cancer,
its not going to eradicate poverty in the 3rd world
its not going to save the world from an alien invasion

This pro-marketing is like supermarkets who lower the price of an item by 1 or 2 pence and think they are trending or saving the planet when really it doesn't make fuck all difference.

What did you read? Because nothing of that has anything at all to do with bta's post. They don't claim it's the first or the fastest or anything. Only that it got some awards and that it's small and looks "good". I really really don't get your point is what I'm trying to say.

Btw, hasn't January been? :ohwell:

EDIT: Oh yeah this was posted in january. My bad.
