Enthusiast PC components maker Sharkoon rolled out an interesting new accessory that makes you put your vacant 5.25-inch drive bays to productive use. The 5.25" Bay Extension, as it's called by Sharkoon, is a double-sided drive form-factor adapter. On its top side, it provides room for either a 3.5-inch drive, or two 2.5-inch ones arranged next to each other. On its bottom side, it stacks up two additional 2.5-inch drives.
Measuring 116 x 146 x 37 mm (LxWxH), and weighing about 150 g, the 5.25" Bay Extension from Sharkoon, is made almost entirely of steel, with rubber vibration dampening washers for the 3.5-inch bay. It is available in four color options, black, blue, red, and green. The company did not reveal pricing information.
