IMO NZXT should bring out a version with digital fan control that can be plugged into the motherboard via USB and used to control fan speeds similar to Corsair Link but without the high cost.

right, don't see much use for this with no fan speed or monitoring to be used here . I would want fans readable and adjustable . I could see some fans being grouped as far as adjusting rpm but thats it .

I thought that's what this was until I read the entire story. I agree with you that someone needs to do this too.

High costs are ok in my book, but the software for the corsair solutions leaves a lot to desired

I sort of like this as it is. Some boards have few ports on board, and using y-cables for everything makes a clutter. This could be very nice.

Yes, if you had old MB or even OEM ones that may not have many but newer enthusiast type MB have many .

My Asus P8Z77 V-pro has 6 fan headers but headers are also limited to like 2 fans as current can only handle so much (generally about 2 normal size fans )
