ADATA Technology, a leading manufacturer of high-performance DRAM modules and NAND Flash application products, today launched a successor to the company's popular XPG DRAM lineup. The new XPG V2 series are designed for 3rd Generation Intel Core Processors and the Z87 platform, and feature colorful and visually striking heat spreaders.

The XPG V2 modules all feature 2oz copper, 8 layer PCB (Printed Circuit Board) aluminum heat spreaders employing Thermal Conductive Technology (TCT). Additionally, the heat spreaders have been re-designed with a futuristic form that will appeal to those who take pride in both the performance and the visual outlook of their high-end system. The 2800 MHz memory runs at timings of CL 12-14-14-36 at 1.65 volts, delivering the performance demanded by gamers and power users.

The XPG V2 will come in dual channel kits of 8GB and 16GB (4GB x 2 and 8GB x 2). For more product information, please visit this page.

Even using black pcb's! This looks great, good voltages, and pretty good timings for 2800.

Good to know 1.65v won't be a issue,

I bought Crucial Balistix Elite CL9 2133mhz and kinda worried about 1.65v

IVY support of 2800 MHz is up to each individual chip. Sandybridge CPUs are simply not capable at all. I'll see what I can do about getting a sample or two soon.

I think these look AWESOME! Like a pair of sunglasses, which i always wear. ALWAYS

They should look sweet installed :pimp:

@ Dave: Do you regularly have to request units for sample/review or do the MFGs make the step and offer up gear for testing/review? I would think the MFGs would make the step but

Honestly, it's a mix of both. Once a review relationship is established, usually companies will approach us with their new products, prior to launch. Sometimes I have to make specific requests.

I do not have a relationship with ADATA for review purposes at this time, but with Computex so close, the chances of developing such contacts is very possible. I hope to branch into more memory reviews going forth from now, actually, so I asked W1zz to touch base with the memory makers that he can, within reason too, of course there are many many companies for TPU to visit @ Computex.

My plate is full right now with upcoming launches, but I have used ADATA stuff in the past, and I've always liked it, so I'd definitely like to see what they got cooking now, too. :)

Well someone claimed its kinda high limit on SB/IB build in memory controller. Apparenlty 1.58v is max safe..

He posted some intel links, but I never take his words for granted he's more of a troll there at guru3d forums xD

Does the memory controller in AMD Processors do better with 1.65v? I heard that it does since that's supposedly default.
Anyway sexy RAM is SEXY!!!
