Why would AMD be sensible? It might sound strange but I think that 7970 is pretty expensive for a card that's on the market for more than a year and which, let's face it, out of the box is far from an outstanding performance leap over previous gen. I don't think they can afford to wait for 20nm in Q2 2014 so I think we'll see a respin of Tahiti which will at least match the 780. I'm pretty convinced that if they pull this off we'll see an AMD flagship at $600. Doom and gloom.
