Leadtek Unveils WinFast GeForce GTX 770 Hurricane III

Leadtek unveiled its premium non-reference design GeForce GTX 770 graphics card, the WinFast GTX 770 Hurricane III (model: WFGTX770-2GD5DF3). The card combines what looks like the old GeForce GTX 680 reference PCB with 5 phases enabled; with a custom design cooling solution. The cooler uses a large aluminum fin stack to which heat from the GPU is fed by five copper heat pipes, of which two are 8 mm-thick, and three 6 mm-thick. A pair of 85 mm fans ventilate the heatsink. The card ships with a tiny factory-overclock of 1159 MHz core, 1111 MHz GPU Boost, and an untouched 7.00 GHz memory. It features 2 GB of memory across a 256-bit wide GDDR5 memory interface. Leadtek didn't reveal pricing.

Damn, you're right, excluding the colour scheme it is almost the same. No complaints though, its a great cooler, just wonder about the price. Not heard of Leadtek before, at least not in the UK anyway.

Finally! Honesty from an AIB...The thing runs at the boost clock except when it can't and turbos down to the slower clock.

...or maybe just a typo...

Probably the second option...but still. I prefer this wording.

They still are a popular selling brand in my country (New Zealand), albeit a range of basic reference cards at reference clocks - a far cry from their 8800 Ultra Leviathan days- and more usually associated (along with PNY) with pro Quadro and Tesla cards.

Man! Leadtek was one of the first back then with crazy overclocks (and great reliability), way before XFX and others...I have fond memories of them. Great to hear they're still around.
