The XMG P303 packs a punch with a top of the range 4th gen Intel Core i7 2.80 - 3.80 GHz quad core processor, three storage drives and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 765M with 2GB GDDR5 memory, NVIDIA's best in class gaming graphics available for a laptop of this size. The growth of the mobile market relies on several aspects, most importantly are a product's form factor and performance when looking at tablets, laptops or ultrabooks. According to the IAB (Interactive Advertising Bureau), in 2011, there were 19.9 million Britons gaming on the PC platform and that figure continues to grow.

Eh, why not? Never heard of the company before. I'm getting a wee bit tired of gaming laptops having all these angles. I want a Thinkpad-like gaming laptop!

Anyways I'm very much interested in how hot these laptop run....
I have the clevo w110er the 11.6" with Nvidia 650 & that thing is throwing out hot air like a hair dryer even when I do simple web browsing tasks...it only gets hotter when I'm gaming. I got a laptop cooler just in case =]

i don't understand the need for high-end mobile gaming. i get having a laptop that can play games at low settings. but why you do need to play games like crysis at 60 FPS while away on vacation or traveling for work?

yep. its the clevo w230st. same thing that eurocom and sager use for their 13 inch laptops. just wish someone would give us a battery that was actually huge. 62 WH is not huge. 95 or 110 WH is huge.

Because when you need to leave your $3000 machine at home to hit the road and youre in a position where you cant get your daily dose of BF3, GW2, TF2, L4D, GRID2 or <insert another high req game here> then it becomes a pretty damn long vacation.


You go out sightseeing during the day, Hang out at a few pubs/clubs, walks along the beach with your loved one or head down hooker ally to scratch that itch. you still need to come and be entertained, Foreign TV can get so boring if you dont speak the language and watching BBC news just gets boring. what else are you gonna do? call room service and pig out?

i guess i just don't get that. when i am on vacation i want to be away from all of the noise and spend time with family enjoying nature. and even if i do get bored a $1000 notebook with an OK graphics card will at least play modern games at an acceptable frame rate.

well Its good to escape from it all. you dont need a $1000 laptop by any means but it just keeps the possibilities open, Id be happy with a more mid range system too.

I just depends on what you want personally. though for 13.3" powerhouse it ticks all the right boxes for me but i dont travel enough to warrant spending so much on such a machine. $700-800 would be the most id be prepared to pay.

My HP DM1 cost me around $538. sure its compact, light and very capable netbook/laptop but graphics are pretty lame on it. my older laptop had a more powerful CPU but a weaker GPU but everything was great. all this DM1 is good for is web browsing and watching movies. I can run some games though albeit at low settings - Its not far off Nvidia ION2 platform if i remember correctly.

sorry should have been more clear. i would spend $1000 on a laptop that could play AAA games at 30FPS at typical crap laptop resolution. i wouldn't spend $2000+ on something like what this thread is about just so i can get the satisfaction of playing at 60 FPS while away from my desktop. just seems silly.

many pc gamers like playing at 60 fps, since its one major thing that pc can do that consoles have no chance of. and if he is a heavy gamer, then investing in a laptop like this is very useful.
also, name a single thin laptop that isnt as loud as a hairdryer at full load, that can keep up with a laptop like this.

Tempted by one of these to replace our "Apollo (Asus N55SL)" laptop when the time comes for it to be replaced (read: when I can convince the wife it needs replacing). Would make a perfect smaller companion to the Clevo P170SM "monster/beast/devourer of small children" I have just aquired.

The 765m also appears to be pretty overclockable. It's a shame they couldn't have squeezed a 192bit memory interface onto it though. The 128bit memory interface is a noticable draw back at 1080p.
